Well, to put it into perspective, Ford built approx. 72,000 Mach's in 1969. And of that number, almost 13,000 with the 428 CJ. That year Ford built 299,000 Mustangs, so that comes down to about 24% being Mach's. Compared to the 6% of production that these cars are, that is a limited edition. My Winter Blue Cobra Jet is rare, however, based on these production numbers, the Azure Blue is pretty rare also. I think that Ford did a good job of judging demand & price so that the car retains it's exclusivity. I spoke with Art Hyde back in May and he told me that the Mach was the most profitable Mustang ever for Ford. With Ford's financial situation, they need to sell cars that they make money on, so I guess we should be glad that they did excercise some control and didn't flood the showrooms with Mach's.
