I still say eaton swap because of the power delivery and they are designed well. The full eaton swap route will give you the opportunity to use any of the big aftermarket blowers later if you wanted to get real crazy.

The KB kits are Mach 1 specific and limit you to that particular blower. Not that it's a bad blower, it's not. One of the members here has one and his Mach runs hard. KB stopped production on them years ago when they couldn't get any more cobra intake manifolds from Ford. Those kits don't show up for sale very often.

If not, I'd wait for a procharger to show up in the classifieds here. They come along every now and then. Get the D1 with an 8 rib setup if you want to go into the 600's later on. 500rwhp and below a P1 will get it.
