Actually here's a short explanation of what the plans are.
A-Plan is for active Ford Motor Co Employees from all part of the company, up to 4 per year.
Z-Plan is retired FMC employees, but the same price as A.
D-Plan, same as the two above, is for Dealership employees of those stores that are Blue Oval Certified, generally up to 2 per calendar year.
X-Plan, which is higher than the other 3 options is for 2 categories.
1) Partners and Suppliers, meaning companies which do business with FMC (Ford Motor Company).
2) Friends and Family, A and Z Plan buyers can nominate up to I think its 6 people per year.
The dealership gets reembrsed by Ford in the form of a rebate for selling a vehicle under any of these programs. Unfortunately, it often is not as good a margin however as the dealer can make selling the car on the open market, so once in a while, at the dealers discression, they can refuse to honor any of these plans.
