That's actually true. The car I had up until summer of 2017 was a Zinc Yellow 2001 GT. It was a 4R70 car and was 100% stock when I got it. The rest of the guys in our group had similar GTs but with gears and bolt-ons. My Zinc Yellow GT would run fender to fender with any of them. They swore up and down that I had a hidden nitrous bottle or something I wasn't telling them.

I ended up putting some simple bolt-on mods on the car and had it dyno tuned. It made 260 HP and 300 torque at the wheels. It was either a factory freak, or they really did make the yellow cars faster.

Anyway, thanks for the info. I will assume that the change to computer and exhaust system were the reasons for the bump in power for 2004 Machs.
