I would say take a tip from the serious big boys and what they use for instance on funny cars. Huge rear overhangs as to straighten out and catch as much air as possible, but little to no actual "wing" in the air stream as to not create drag.
For a simple bolt on wing for Mustangs, that would pretty much be the Saleen s281
