Not exactly a fair comparison imho. The base GT500 is 75 and still very well equipped. The $10k for painted striped is bat ****, out of this world crazy. The DCT in the GT500 carries an MSRP of 25k. Your GT350 + the DCT is already 83k, call it 80k for the core credit of the stock GT350 trans. Obviously Ford isn't paying 25k each but you get the idea.

That was the comparison made from the previous GT500 as well, take the msrp and account for a 25k transmission and you'd expect it to be in the 80s starting price. We're not even talking about the new blower, better intercooler, biggest brakes every and all the other aero and cooling.

To me the GT500 is kind of like the Corvette, the base model is a nice car that will go like hell and if you want to run up the price to stupid levels with options, you can. I don't see why everyone is so hung up on the fully optioned vehicle price. You can run a Raptor up to almost 75k but I don't see people running around talking about it like it only comes in a 75k version.
