It sounds like you might as well just have the whole rear end rebuilt. The labor involved is almost as much as a gear change. So you need an 8.8 rebuild kit with axle bearing and a ring and pinion of your ratio choice. At 120k just do it right and make sure you don’t have to pay out in the near future for anything else in the rear end...
