I know this is an old post. But just to answer for the next guy who has this issue.

The problem is the pivot ball. It needs to be shortened. The clutch fork angle is off, which is why you are having that problem. When you run a thicker clutch setup, like the twin disk, the pivot ball must be shortened. McLeod makes an adjustable one. I'd start with an 1/8" shorter than stock and go from there.
