Re: Suspension wish list

I am in the same boat...time to do some suspension mods. Previous owner of mine did lowering springs and struts and it rides really really rough. Too rough for New England roads. The sway bars and...

Re: 13/14 style tail lights

love the look of those, i have the same ones on my car. did you do the sequential turn signal mod?

also i'm a little jealous that you live in place where you don't feel like you have to put your...

Re: Longer crank after sitting for a bit.

next time you let it sit that long cycle the fuel pump a couple times before starting and see if it still has a long crank or not. it could just be a weak check valve allowing the fuel to slowly...

Re: headlight trim rubber

I had the company that did the lights in my Camaro build me a custom set for my Mustang. Real HID projectors fitted into customized housings. The previous owner had cheap headlights with tint on...

Re: headlight trim rubber

 glad it all worked out! i couldn't even find an EGR tube for mine when i needed it, small trim pieces like this are going to be harder and harder to track down. fortunately a lot of new...

Re: Need help clutch or rear diff.

i was thinking the same thing...if something was slipping the engine would keep revving, not "fall on it's face" as described. in the OPs second post. sounds more like the tires are getting...

Re: New Intrerest

it's a 15 year old Mustang...I can't imagine paying those prices. Maybe double digits for a really clean one, but for $20k I better be getting 3 of them. It takes very little effort, and far less...

Re: Vent and a/c air smells like a$$

sounds like maybe something nested and/or died in the HVAC system? i'd say replace the cabin air filter but i'm pretty sure the mustangs didn't have one until 2005. you can drop the blower motor...

Re: what mufflers for off road X-Pipe?

i have an h-pipe, not an x-pipe, but i've been thinking about replacing the SLP LM2 that was on my car when i bought it with a set of Borla mufflers. since i did the BBK longtubes and highflow...

Re: NGK TR6 Iridium Spark Plugs

When I was doing my research it seemed to be the most common plug for supercharged setups. I bought a set when I supercharged mine...I have very little drive time on them but no problems so far.

Re: Octane booster for 87-89 pump gas

Do our cars require premium fuel?

I had a full service station (no choice at the time) fill my modded/tuned Evo with 87 one day. I dumped a bottle of octane booster in it (I believe it was STP...

Re: Mecum WTF

Same! Between buying my car last year and then putting a procharger on it I could have very easily been in an 03-04 Cobra making more power, but it would not have been a Mach 1. Just the shaker and...

Re: Mecum WTF

it's only worth what people are willing to pay for it. most of the people bidding on cars at Mecum probably aren't looking for 2000s mustangs. interesting that the website lists it as a fastback. ...

Re: Battery tender

I use a Battery Tender Jr. I actually have 3 of them plugged into a surge protector in my garage to keep a couple motorcycles and one of my vehicles, usually the mustang, charged up. They work...

Re: Like them but can't own them!

i was under the impression that all of the above is the purpose of the floor mat? for me, it's just there to protect the carpet on a 15 year old mustang. i'm pretty sure mine say Mach 1 on them but...

Re: Z26 Powerstop pads wouldn't fit

I've had issues with the pads being a little too long for the brackets, almost like they fit perfect when they were unpainted and then the powder coat finish makes them a little too thick. I do what...

Re: 2020 Hi-Po 4 cyl?

unfortunately, in this day and age we can only partially blame vehicle weight on the manufacturer. there are so many safety requirements to meet that comparing a mustang today to a mustang even 5...
