Re: Cooling Fan Broke

Found one at a Carquest 20 miles away. Everything stayed together till about half mile from the store. Then it let go for real. I limped to the store and bought the part for about $150. Next door...

Cooling Fan Broke

I am stuck up here in Alabama, far away from home, but at least I have tools with me...
Last night I felt a "thunk" and then the cooling fan started making all kinds of noise. I investigated this...

Re: KB Dyno Tune Question

Wow, that is completely different from what I was told just two or three months ago...
If what they are telling you now is true, ask them why it is not hitting the advertised HP goals. Did you talk...

Re: KB Dyno Tune Question

By the way, before simply proclaiming "belt slip," the other posters on here shoudl have told you to run your finger on the back of the KB pulley to see if there was any black dust. You can still...

Re: KB Dyno Tune Question

The smaller the pulley, the higher the boost. I make 9psi from 2,000 rpm to 6,000 rpm. I posted my dyno sheet in a different thread that shows these exact numbers. When I first installed the kit I...

Re: KB Dyno Tune Question

It's not belt slip. The pulley is too large. You should see 9lbs at tip in and it will creep to 9.5 at 6k rpms. Tell them to send you a pulley two sizes smaller. Better yet, tell them you are...

Re: KB Dyno Tune Question

I am with 32valvr on this one... are you sure you are getting the full 9lbs of boost? Mine held only 7lbs on the original pulley they mailed with the kit. That 2lb difference is roughly 30-40 rwhp....

Re: KB Dyno Tune Question

I have talked to a few people and they all said you CANNOT read the tune off the chip. THe KB tune is fine... I made a ton of HP and Torque on it as do others. People like the custom tune because...

Re: 245/45-17 awesome deal BFG KDW $88

KDW = Key on Dry Weather. Not good in the rain. I had these on my Mach and traction sucked on anything but a warm, dry road.

Re: KB Dyno Tune Question

Man, sorry to hear you are having all these problems!!! You should be 100 ft/lbs higher all the way down at 2,500 rpms. At least that is what happened with my bone stock Mach after the KB. Those...

That's right, I need some nuts. Lugnuts that is. Anyone find anything that is higher quality then the stock lugs? Mine are chipping and rusting. Should I just call Ford and get some more stock...
