Re: Never ending battle between N/A and boost

Boosted, aside from the whistling at idle, my P1SC drives the same as it did when it was stock, but when I get into it is when it is noticeable. I had 6000kms on my belt and it was fine, started...

Re: I hate my front tires

I always thought 275/35r18 for rear and 265/35r18 for front looks perfect. 275/35r18 is almost 100% EXACT size as OEM tires. Here is my car for reference. I had 255/35 before and they looked waaay...

Re: what cars were the machs competition

I have a C&D From 03 and the cars in the comparo were the Mach 1, the Nissan 350z, and a Honda S2000, so you can take that for all its worth lol.

Here's the article:...

Re: 1 killer looking Mach

Now THAT is a gorgeous colour! I'll stick with my DSG though, had back luck with bright coloured stangs (my old Canary yellow GT was in 3 accidents :/).

Re: Ford better get their act together

Sync is good, in theory, in reality it sucks. I honestly can't stand how gadgety these cars are getting. Can you even get a GT500 without the big navigation screen? Every one I have driven in at work...

Re: Mach 1 vs 5.0 GT

I have 410rwhp and still get 18mpg city driving, 26mpg highway with 4.10s, it's all in how you drive. If I get into boost lots, mileage drops like a rock haha. And to answer your question, that's...

Re: Ford better get their act together

Never said the trannys were good, just said that's how they act. We as technicians f***ing hate them. Ford had a crappy seal supplier in the later 2000s (F150 axle/pinion seals, explorer axle seals...

Re: Ford better get their act together

People complaining about the trannys in the focus/fiesta is why fords quality went in the crapper. I agree, I HATE the tranny too because we have to explain to customers that it uses a DUAL CLUTCH...

Re: Fuel system

That's weird, guess each car is different, mine topped out on only 6#s at 6k, I wonder if being procharged vs. eaton had anything to do with it. I don't want too much power though, if I can get it to...

Re: Fuel system

No other upgrades? No wiring upgrades or BAP? Are the eatons that much "easier" on the fuel system than procharger systems?

Re: Fuel system

I maxed out stock cobra pumps at 410rwhp at 6000rpm, pushing 6#s. Definitely do the wire upgrade or BAP if you want more, never thought it would max my pumps haha. Poop happens!

Re: Mach 1 vs. Terminator in 20-30 years

Who cares. I bought my car to have fun and drive it and race it. Don't plan on ever selling it. Never buy a car as an investment to make money on.

Re: How high to rev at the strip?

Shifting at 6 on a stock car is losing on soooo much power. I went from 13.7 (shifting at 6k) to 13.2 by shifting at 6700 on my 1-2 then 6500 on the rest when I was a bolt on car. I launched at 5.5k,...

Re: NASCAR thread

The reason why edwards was not black flagged was because menard had made physical contact with edwards car before the start finish line. If that happens, doesn't matter who makes it to the line...

Re: How many are left

The new GTs didn't have more HP than the Mach until 2010, even the stock for stock a Mach will take a 2010 GT in a race. It wasn't until the 5.0L the Mach looked bad. Then again, the Machs are a LOT...

Re: Changing the fuel filter, any video webnars?

I work for a dealer and NEVER relief pressure, from Mustangs to Focuses to Diesels, just wear safety glasses and position yourself away from the filter and you're fine. +1 on those scissor metal...

Re: Unbelievable Ecoboost story

Don't have the time to read it tonight since I work tomorrow morning early, but I have always said 5.0L V8>>>>>Ecoboost. My boss says the same thing. More reliable engine with way less issues, sounds...
