OK, I'll climb under there and snap some pictures.

Re: TOB secrets

It's very fixable. It's a matter of "adjusting" the factory bump stop on the clutch pedal so it can lift far enough to pull the TOB off the pressure plate. There are a few things to be modified but...

Re: I'm back in the game....Too late? Where is everyone?

Still here too. Good site and maybe, just maybe we will see a new Mach 1 coming soon. That's the rumor anyway. Maybe even with a 4 valve 428 CJ.

Re: Cams

There's nothing old technology about FR500's. They are perfect for a turbo setup. Just get the lobe centers in the ball park.

Re: what oil weight to use.

No, it helps protect it. The metal on metal drive system can use all the "cushion" it can get.

Re: what oil weight to use.

Oil manufacturers are very tight lipped about their formulas but some inside scoop can be gleaned from themotoroilevaluator.com and bobistheoilguy.com.

Re: what oil weight to use.

The thicker the weight of the oil, the better the protection, period. The trade off is horsepower (and mileage as if we care). 5W-20 isnt appropriate under any circumstances and does a poor job of...

Re: Where to degree cams to.

Those cams are too big to optimize torque for FI unless you plan to spin to 7500+ RPM. You could set the intake centerline at 106 and pick up some torque but then you'd have too much overlap for FI....

Re: Cobra cammed automatic

107 is a nice gain from 105 - 106.

Re: Cobra cammed automatic

Were you able to get some additional MPH out of it or did it stay about the same?

Re: Who has broken oil pump gears?

Once people understood what was happening with the small dampers they started making wiser choices and failures decreased dramatically. In addition to that the main culprit made by Steeda was...

Re: Help me identify cams.

I fixed my post because I messed up your cam ID. yf3e 6a270bb and yf3e 6a271bb are both intake cams. :orange:

Re: Help me identify cams.

The 10mm bolt tells you that they are 01+ cams. The part numbers indicate:

yf3e 6a270bb = 01 Cobra Right Intake Cam
yf3e 6a271bb = 01 Cobra Left Intake Cam

Only a couple degrees difference in...

Re: NA BB/S 324" Dyno Results

Take that thing back to the dyno and tell him to pull it to at least 7000 RPM and see how much power it's really making. They shut it down way too soon.

Re: NA BB/S 324" Dyno Results

Cool! Too bad they didnt pull higher, it looks like there was either a lot more in it or it ran out of fuel at the end. Unusual to drop off that fast with a 5" runner intake.

Re: What Engine Oil ??

No. No oil is that bad. It's the long term wear that gets us.

Re: What Engine Oil ??

Things are changing and we now have to be careful with the diesel spec stuff too (sorry, I should update my previous post). Manufactures are phasing out the ZDDP in those products without any mention...

Re: balancer horsepower capacity?

I know Ford uses ATI on their race cars but I've never heard of them using IW for the GT500.

The damper is not used for balancing on our engines because they are internally balanced. The sole...

Re: balancer horsepower capacity?

Mihovetz, holder of more mod engine records than anyone on the planet has a very low opinion of the Innovators West damper after several engine failures directly related to it and the oil pump. He...
