Because you said you can read the engine parameters without having it mated to the vehicle. I did not doubt
the 4 unlocks. I was under the impression that it was mated to the focus and could not see...

The warranty seal was not broken! it was creased into the seam of the case. I have pictures of it. that is the way it was when I got it. This is getting crazy. Send it back and I will send a refund....

Thanks for the input, now that I think about it I am very insistent that Nick takes this option because they have used one of the locks on it now.

evidently is does power up because he says it show 4 unlocks left. Can't see that with no power. As for supporting the different models doesn't it need to have the profile of the car you are trying...
