You are all backwards......
IF the 7+8 cylinder were able to heat the air charge as you say, you think all the cylinders would run richer, not leaner as you try to...

How does the A/F look at tip-in when you are off the spray. I would get that sorted out before you tune for the spray. 15:1 is kinda high.

The hissing noise could also be an air leak.
I think a few of the stalling problem people are having are due to the system not being sealed up properly.
