Re: Vent and a/c air smells like a$$

The crack on the cowl piece can hardly be seen when it's installed. I was thinking the the next time I remove it, I'd apply some JB weld to the underside.

Re: Vent and a/c air smells like a$$

Yeah. I found out just how delicate the cowl is, especially around the windshield wiper hole.

Re: Vent and a/c air smells like a$$

Stink-mystery solved. I had a friend look around with a boroscope, and found a softball sized mouse nest under the cowl, near the "fresh" air intake. We couldn't vacuum or blow it out, but were...

Re: Vent and a/c air smells like a$$

Max a/c does not have the smell. It's only on vent or regular a/c.
When I removed the blower motor and felt around with my hand, I was able to pull small amounts of grass from beneath the heater...

Re: Vent and a/c air smells like a$$

I'm pretty sure it's not just a dead mouse. I know what that smells like, and it should have gone away by now, right?
However, mice are definitely involved. I went to the car wash to power wash...

Re: Vent and a/c air smells like a$$

Thanks for the advice. I'll check out the blower motor. I couldn't find any info for a cabin filter for 2004.

Vent and a/c air smells like a$$

I spent a lot of time wondering if I should ask this question, but here goes: Has anyone experienced their a/c or vent air smelling like crap- literally? Ever since I got the Mach out of storage...

Re: Octane booster for 87-89 pump gas

Interesting suggestion, but no. I don't think my Homeowner's Association would like that.

Re: Octane booster for 87-89 pump gas

No, put on about 2-3000 miles a year. I daily my 1990 5.0 in warmer months, and it also requires 91. From the sound of it, I think I'll just resign myself to the fact that I'm going to have to...

Octane booster for 87-89 pump gas

My small town has six gas stations, three of which had 91 octane premium. Over the years, one by one, those three have been sold to other companies that have decided that they didn't need to offer...

Re: Original battery finally gave up the ghost

Thanks for the advice. I'll check out NAPA. I'm unsure of where to find a Decka battery.

Original battery finally gave up the ghost

Well, it's been 15 years and 8 months since my Mach hit the pavement, and my original, faithful battery has finally breathed it's last breath. I can't believe that it's lasted this long.
It was a...

Re: Who still has the original battery in there Mach1

I still have the original 12 1/2 year old battery. 38,000 miles, and it still cranks over like new. The last few years, after being in storage for the winter, it would be drained and need to be...

Re: Who has more than 1 mustang?

I bought my '90 lx new over 24 years ago, and still daily drive it from spring to fall. I bought the Mach 6 years ago, and take it on cruises/ car shows, etc. Both get stored for the winter. I...

Re: Doesn't anybody know what our cars are?

Was this last Thursday? If so, I think I took some video of you running laps. Sounded good, too.

Doesn't anybody know what our cars are?

I just got back from a great week of fun, driving in the Mustangs Across America cruise. So many Mustangs of all generations, special editions, GTs, Cobras, GT500s, Boss 302s, etc. But, whenever I...

Re: Question: What would you do??

I used two strips of heavy-duty 3M Velcro. The plate's been attached this way for 6 years, and shows no sign of loosening. If you'd like, I can try to find the part number.

Re: Mustangs Across America

Thanks for the advice. I've ordered both the radio and antenna this morning, along with a 12v plug-in. They should be here next week!
