Actually, not accurate info. 1967 production was still by Shelby in California. 1968 on production was done by the A.O. Smith company in Michigan, not in Ford plants.

1) hood difference as noted by ponygt65
2) the headlight buckets that go with the non-rolled lip hood

I seem to remember something about the dash opening having a factory done clearance for the speedometer head that isn't present in non-GT cars. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Age is creeping up fast.

I didn't realize the T-Bolts started out as K cars either. It's fun to learn about this stuff. As for my Comet answer, in '64 Mercury used K for non-hipo 289 and D for 289HP, the opposite of Mustang...
