Re: 275/40r17 or 315/35r17 which is better for overall performance on rear?

I think tire selection is more important than tire size.

I ran 315/35 Mickey Thompson Street Comps on my '01 and they would spin like crazy unless it was a 90 degree day outside. Hated those...

Re: Anyone try torco MTF fluid?

How much cash does it take to rebuilt a 3650 at home these days, with the carbon synchros?

Re: Anyone try torco MTF fluid?

That's great to hear.

Did you rebuild your trans? Do it yourself? Or did you just install these rings and leave the rest alone?

Re: First and Last Mach 1's made.

That's good information. I've been trying to determine the date of the first Mach 1 production. Mine was built 12-5-02 and is #713. Yours was built almost exactly a month prior and was #13. So it...

Re: Lug nuts

I ended up getting a set from American Muscle that are 1.4" long and they fit...just barely...but they fit.

Re: FYI on exhaust systems

I currently have a Mac O/R H-pipe, but every other piece of my exhaust system is factory stock. It actually sounds really good and is pretty loud.

My question is, has anybody ever taken a Mach 1...

Lug nuts

Are the lug nuts unique to the Mach 1? I bought some FR500 wheels and the lug nuts (1/2 x 20 with 6-spline socket) that I bought from the local auto parts store won't work. They run out of thread...

Re: Get a compliment? Post it!

He'd be shocked if you told him the story about how Ford employees found the mold they used in the 1960s to make the hood scoops with and used that exact tooling to make the hood scoop on your car. ...

Re: Get a compliment? Post it!

I guess the best compliment I've gotten was a month ago or so when I found a new Coyote 5.0 and a new Hemi 392 doing stop light pulls on each other and I decided to jump in and see if I could even...

Re: You tell me...Gt350 or Power adder for Mach 1????

From what I hear, GT350s are getting very affordable now that the bone stock 2018 GT is beating it at the track and the GT500 is coming back next year. I'd try to pick one of those up for a steal.

Re: Mercon LV

I think I've already got some Syncromesh in my garage so I may just use that and do the 3.2 quarts like people are saying. I don't put a ton of miles on the car so it should last me a while between...

Re: New clutch and flywheel

My buddy has my old '08 with 3650 trans and bread does NOT work on those. He fought with this for a long time last month. We ribbed him over it and gave him a hard time. We call his car Butternut...

Re: Mercon LV

Thanks guys. Anymore input on fluids for the 3650? I'm going to change mine while I'm installing a new shifter this fall. Any shared knowledge on what to buy and how much I'll need is welcomed.

Re: Mach vs Boss

In my opinion, the 2004 car is the last one that felt muscular. There's just something about that Fox platform that feels raw. Feels powerful. It's poorly insulated. It's loud. It's small. It's...

Re: Highest Mileage Mach 1

132k on mine. Original owner had the fuel pump and/or sending unit replaced and I had the oil cooler housing gasket replaced. Otherwise, she runs like a sewing machine and still gives my buddy's...

Re: Lock-out, missed shifts - Mystery solved?

Well I got the Steeda kit installed. The stock plastic quadrant/adjuster removal was the worst part of the job. P I T A.

The firewall adjuster wasn't a walk in the park either, but with a 1/4"...

Re: The Wheel Pictures Thread

I'm trying to decide on wheels and tires.

I like the AFS Mach 1 wheels, but those guys are virtually impossible to get in contact with, and I don't even see the 17x10.5 listed anymore. The 18x10...
