Re: Removing valve springs on 4V without special tools

Sorry about that. Haven't had a chance to snap a pic of it. I will soon. Basically, it is the spacer used in the disassembly process with a .500" slot milled on two sides of it.

Thanks

Re: Removing valve springs on 4V without special tools

I machined a special brass bushing with slots milled in the sides for installation of the valve locks. It works great. I'll post pics when I get back home.

Re: Building my rear end, a few ???

I'd go with an Eaton diff. if your gonna build the rear. Also, I'd stay away from used gears, you may have a heck of a time setting the backlash if there is already a good wear pattern. If you plan...

Re: Moser Axle Install

Use a star socket for the ABS sensor removal. I thought I could get away with using a 12pt socket and rounded off the head on one bolts. Don't try that. lol

Re: Moser Axle Install

You're better off buying new ABS rings and having them pressed on if you dont have a press. The cross pin is held in by a 8mm bolt with a 12 point head, I used a 12pt wrench instead of a socket....

Re: Php spacer?

I can't speak for gains on a stock motor but I can say the 3/8" spacer was very easy to install and the EGR tube didn't have to be bent. I just gently pried it into place.
