I think my water pump might be bad also. I’m having the same issues you said. Changed the thermostat, new cap, burped the system and it still over heats. Gonna take it in to get it checked out also.

Got it off and found a piece of plastic from the chain guard stuck down at the bottom. Fished it out, inspected everything and didn't see anything else wrong. Really not wanting to pull the pass side...

Finally got the valve cover off, turned the engine to see if anything was stuck/binding and everything looked good. Grabbed a flashlight and looked around some. Got to the front where the chain is...

Started pulling the driver side valve cover to see what's actually going on under there. Hope to have it off by the end of the week at least. Pulled 4 of the 5 bolts on the brake booster, gotta find...

Started up the car a week and a half ago. Started pulling the driver side valve cover so I can see what the knock is. Hope it's not a rod, but still need to get one bolt on the brake booster...

My wife went through something along the same lines. I was deployed 6 months out of that time. So she had to take care of 4 kids, go to school and study by herself.
