Stick to the auto. They are work horses if done right. The overdrive bands is the issue. You probably need more line pressure. Check out Lentech Auto. ...

That's what I thought. I am good......stock gears in my car. I know I could jack it up and spin the drive shaft around and count but to be honest this was much easier. :-) Thanks gents.

Stall Converters do not hurt your MPG that much at all if you keep the lock up feature. Yes you will lose a little but once the converter locks up it is no different than a standard stall converter....

If that doesn't do the trick........check the alternator out. The bearings go bad so darn quick in the Ford alternators. I have never seen any other brand of alternator go through bearings so...
