Re: Can You See your Mach1 From Space?

My Mach is visible (or was visible when I last checked), but I have a carport now to hide it from the satellites.

Re: rebuilding irs diff

I use a Detroit True Track in my IRS pumpkin. Because of the absence of clutches, there is less heat buildup in turns, plus there is no clutch slippage. I used a Thunderbird 8.8 iron housing, since...

Re: How does everyone like their aluminum flywheels?

The initial launch is trickier with an aluminum flywheel, since you don't store as much energy with the lighter rotating weight. Once the car is underway, an aluminum flywheel will accelerate...

Re: IRS swap shock/strut questions

I have an IRS in my Mach, which is a daily driver. I prefer the ride quality of the IRS, but as pointed out above, shocks do have a lot to do with ride quality. I am running the stock Cobra Bilstien...

Re: hail damage

I've had hail at my house five times in the past two months. First hail storm was the worst, I had seven fairly large dents (six on roof and one on left fender). I had a local paintless dent repair...

Re: Vinyl Decal For Back Bumper?

I just ordered a set of stripes for my Mach from Graphics Express, they shipped fast even though the stripes were a custom color.

Re: stripes or no stripes

My Mach is stripeless right now, but it won't stay that way. In a few days, I'll get some new (red) stripes ordered.

Re: Moroso Coolant Tank Question?

I didn't do anything except a direct remove and replace install. The new tank goes on exactly the same as the stock tank, and the fill and burp procedure is the same as with a stock tank.

Re: Moroso Coolant Tank Question?

I installed the Moroso coolant tank yesterday, and there is no fitting on it for a coolant sensor. But, on my '04 Mach 1, there is no coolant sensor in the stock tank, so it was no problem. The AM...

Re: Here, you take the wheel, I'm too drunk to drive

The GM "Mark of Excellence" was a joke years ago, and even now. I love the advertisements telling us "May the best car win", because we know it won't be a GM.

Re: Getting paintwork and thinking of going stripless and wingless...

I don't see why it would cause a problem to paint over the black, as long as the paint types are compatible. I would rather paint DSG over black than over a lighter color, but that is only my...

Re: S-spring tool

I have never used any sort of special tool to re-install the "S" spring, I also used a pair of pliers. I'm not aware of any special tool for this, either, but I wouldn't be surprised if Ford does...

Re: Chryslers latest, 2011 Charger

I don't care for the look of the SRT model, but the standard 2011-12 Charger is a good looking car. I don't care for the earlier SRT Chargers either, I always wanted a standard Charger with the SRT...

Re: Question about rebuilding steering valve on a '70

I wouldn't blame the vendor, their lawyers probably advised them to avoid giving advice or instructions on rebuilding steering parts. The best source for information of this sort is a factory service...

Re: Anybody been to the Muscle Car Museum in Tenn?

I've been to Floyd Garrett's Musclecar Museum just once, but it was worth it.

Re: Another help question...brake pedal feels stiff

I would recommend comparing the brake feel only with another New Edge Mustang with hydro boost brakes. I noticed that my Mach has a much firmer brake pedal than most cars (I worked as a tech in a...

Re: How to lock your car and why!

The range of the RKE is fairly limited and can vary depending on many factors, but the "Panic" feature is almost always one feature of an RKE that does have decent range.

Re: Model train question

I know they need to be out and set up, but that rarely happens anymore. Yeah, I read that Lionel re-introduced the S gauge American Flyer set, but its not quite the same as having the original. Just...

Re: Model train question

I wish I still had my A.C. Gilbert American Flyer train set that I got new for my 6th birthday. I still have my old Lionel O gauge set, a lot of HO stuff, and an N gauge set. By the way, the old...
