Re: Eaton Swap.....

My 498whp Eaton swapped Mach1 engine(in a GT) with 3.73 gears was enough to beat up on my buddy's 2012 GT with a 2.3TVS and another buddy's 2.2 KB 2004 Cobra. The newer cars are nicer, ride smoother,...

Re: Fuel pump replacement tips

Disconnect the battery and bleed off any extra pressure by removing the fuel filler cap and from the rail via the schrader valve. Siphon or drain as much fuel from the tank as possible. You don't...

Re: Eaton Swap.....

I ran a 3" upper and stock lower on a stage 4 Steggy ported Eaton. I made just over 12 psi of boost. It was good for 498 rwhp.

Re: Can't unlock door with key

The tumbler is held in place with a single clip. Its possible that clip broke and that is why the tumbler is loose. Pull the door panel and check. As far as a new tumbler goes, they are usually sold...

Re: Spark plug gap

It wouldn't hurt to close the gap a bit. I run .028 on NGK BKR7Es at 29 pounds of boost and I haven't experienced any spark blowout issues.

Re: How Much Power Can Mach 1 Auto Transmission Handle?

Stock units are good for about 500tq because the torque convertor will multiply torque at the input shaft. If you are making 450-500tq at the engine, the input shaft will see almost 1000ft.

I am...

Re: How much power can a WAP block really handle?

George Klasse builds high horsepower engines running standard WAP blocks without boring, stroking, or hardfilling.

He built John Mihovetz's engine that is crazy.

Re: 3650 to Cobra block

It all depends on how you are planning to get the 700hp you desire. If you want a blower and since you already have a forged crank, you will need forged pistons and rods, upgraded oil pump, and a...

Re: Eaton Swap.....

I had this issue as well once I went with a Whipple 3.4 at 25 psi. The lower pulley setting would cause the alternator to get pulled forward and caused the belt to jump constantly. I moved the idler...

Re: tubular non-coilover suspension

I ran an AJE k member for a while but had issues with their a-arms. I had a ball joint break off which messed up a fender. Mind you, this was 150 miles after installation. They replaced the a-arm and...

Re: Destroying a WRX

96-98 Cobra intake cams have more duration and are good for 20 whp over stock Mach1 intake cams. The exhaust cams are the same.

Here is a set for $255 shipped on the Corral -...

Re: New coil covers

Those look great and will be even better after powder coating. I stripped my coil & valve covers and had them powder coated to match my blower. I found an aluminum Whipple insert to fill the stock V8...

Re: Worst pain you have ever experienced.

I cut off my left index finger when I was 11 and I thought that was some intense pain until I experienced the joy of diverticulitis. I had a severe case that caused a perforation. The 4 days of pain...

Re: Eaton Swap.....

The heat exchanger brackets are almost unobtainable. Ford doesn't make them and I haven't found any place that makes aftermarket ones. I got lucky a few months ago and found some on eBay though...so...

Re: 2nd opinion

If you plan on drag racing the car, definitely get the studs and also pick up open end lug nuts. The stud must protrude into the hex portion of the nut at least the diameter of the stud. 1/2 in...
