Intake to cylinder head torque

Sorry for the stupid question, but I have been searching here and svtperformance, modfords all morning and I have to be typing something into the search wrong, but I can't find the link to the torque...

Re: Ideal Coil-over spring rate and length

I believe maximum told me about 175lb spring will have a similar wheel rate to a stock spring setup. They recommended a 225-250lb spring for my brothers Mach 1 and his is a street car that sees the...

Re: "Torquer" Short Runner Intake VS Stock

Yeah, but our intakes have a shitty feed system(6 feed holes to feed 8 runners below). A much better design would be a front mounted TB/Could be side as well, that filled a top plenum that had the...

Re: "Torquer" Short Runner Intake VS Stock

What length of runner would be a happy medium for 03-04 Mach 1 owners?

We should be able to have intakes built where the runners for the passenger side bank started at the cylinder head and were...

Re: A Few 9.5" Intake Pics

Very nice work. If the numbers work real good maybe I can convince my brother to spend some cash. Boss block big bore stroker with comp 230/232 cams. Running N/A right now at 10.25:1 compression. ...

Re: Any one on here running a tourqe arm

Thanks for the info. The panhard bar won't effect any performance for the 1/4 mile will it? My brother isn't drag or autocross orient, he just likes to drive it on the street and such. Track a...

Re: Any one on here running a tourqe arm

Just a quick question for you guys that are running the torque arm.

What lower control arms are you running and did you go from the stock quadralink system to the torque arm right away or did you...

Re: Lowering springs

If you cut springs go slow and use a cut off wheel. DO NOT use a torch the heat will cause issues to the material.

Re: Lowering springs

I believe the Mach 1 springs are no different then the Cobra springs in terms of being a linear rate.

My advice is to cut 3/4-1 full coil in the front and 1/2 in the rear. See how that sits.

I...

Re: Kicking Off another Mach 1 Motor Build

I have heads done by John T with the larger 0.5mm intake and exhaust valves. Stock bottom end with a 3.4L whipple on top (3.5" upper, 6.55" lower) and now 97 Cobra intake cams degreed at 108 intake...

Re: 98 cam install woes, keyway difference

I broached my passenger side cams so they have a keyslot just like the 03-04 Cobra cams that were in my motor. I ran into the exact same issue you found in that the gears when turned 180* have the...

Re: is it worth upgrading the tr 3650?

You can get a 2.97:1 first gear T56 and a 2.66:1 first gear(03-04 Cobra style). For you centri blowers or nitrous cars I would take the 2.97:1. My brother runs this tranny and really likes it in...

Re: Another 98 Cobra Intake Cam Topic

Hey glad to see my cam specs made it into here. They were pretty far out and my Cobra made 685rwhp/605rwtq like that. So lets hope with the 97 Cobra cams and balancing the engine(cam timing the...

Re: Another 98 Cobra Intake Cam Topic

The overlap is the portion of the cam cycle where the intake is still open and the exhaust is open. One valve is closing and the other is opening.

There is a good illustration if you scroll down...

Re: Another 98 Cobra Intake Cam Topic

No overlap with those cams, but he did tighten it up from -33 to -25, just not enough duration at 204 to give you overlap.

Cool to see the results. I wonder if he would have gained more going...

Re: Another 98 Cobra Intake Cam Topic

I just wanted to add to pull all your lash adjusters when you yank the cams and bleed them down to verify you have no collapsed adjusters and no lash adjusters that stay rock hard.

Having...

Re: Gauges and Gauge Pod

Speedhut has nice gauges and can build them to match your factory gauges if you ask them and send pictures.
