Re: whats the most power from a spirated mach obtainable?

I put down 325 on a mustang dyno, but it cost a lot more than 1000 bucks.

Re: Sell your Machs NOW!

Reminds me of an article I read the other day. It said Burger King was doing extremly well after introducing some type of high calorie breckfast sandwich. It seems they had a novel idea...... give...

Re: The Mach 1 Love thread...take that Rcode

I love mine. My wife and I stopped at a redlight yesterday and while waiting to make a left turn we noticed a young kid (maybe 6-7 years old) in a truck that was stopped on our left at the light. He...

Re: Slp dyno results!

Yes, it's an off-road. It's easy to put on or rempve the cats with the SLP system. The only actuall back to back comparison that I've seen showed a gain of only 2 or 3 rwhp with the cats off. In...

Re: List Your Projects!

I agree. I had a 68 torino cobra that I sold for 1200 dollors in 86. Had original numbers matching 428 SCJ and drag pack. I'm still kicking myself.

Thumbs up Re: Slp dyno results!

When dynoed individually, I have usually seen the cat back get 8-10 max, and the off road x get 10 - 12 max which would leave 22 h.p. from the long tubes. I think it would be hard to tell exactly...

Re: Slp dyno results!

That's awesome. I love my SLP system. By the way, I picked up 14 rwhp from a custom tune. Wound up with 325 rwhp, but that was on a mustang dyno. I know gains from a tune can vary widely but if you...

Re: Does the C&L CAI use the MAF screen?

Thanks, I really like the look and I may just get one when I get a chance to get it retuned.

Does the C&L CAI use the MAF screen?

Does the C&L kit use the screen, or has anyone used it without the screen? Any stalling or idle problems with the screen removed? Thanks

Re: FR500 cams/initial dyno tests

I would put the spacer back on before the tune. You can't breath to much, especially with the cam. The cam is allowing a significant amount of increased air flow through your heads, therefore you...

Re: April issue of Hot Rod magazine

They are quite the clowns alright. In the same issue, their supercharged (yea I said supercharged) GTO anly ran 13.8 Go figure.

Re: April issue of Hot Rod magazine

I would think 420 rwhp with 20% drive train loss would equal around 480 fwhp. Am I missing something? Anyway, I was in no way knocking the GTO, in fact I bought the Mach because I personally think...

horsepower vs. torque

I was looking into buying a 1991 chevy truck 454 SS that I found locally and after doing some research, I thought it would make an interesting comparison. Especially since there are those who think...

Re: April issue of Hot Rod magazine

eldodroptop, those are great numbers and they certainly back up GM's numbers. It's just strange to me that Hot Rod magazine got only 400 without accessories. Can't believe everything you read.

April issue of Hot Rod magazine

Did anyone read the April issue of Hot Rod magazine? There is an article where they dyotest the 6.0 liter LS2 engine that is in the new GTO's and 05 vette's. It is tested on an engine stand, and as...

Re: Need Help..Engine questions

If you're talking about the 03/04 cobra block, everything will bolt up,but it is an iron block and has much lower compression.

Re: New Numbers and I mean Big Numbers...

Great numbers. Can you post the graph? Better yet, a before and after? I am very curious as to how the low end torque was affected being that the long runners are being used at low rpms.
