Re: Get a compliment? Post it!

I get looks like: "what kind of Mustang is that"?

And now that I took off the hood decal (was evidently improperly installed, as it was bubbling along the edges and came right off without a hair...

Re: 2018 Plans for your car.

Anyone know where to get a reasonably priced chin spoiler replacement for '04 Mach? Quick look today I saw $210-$250...seems high for that small piece. Mine has some annoying scrape marks; I sure...

Re: Fuel pump replacement tips

Great instructions, fastlane.

Definitely get as much gas out of the tank as you can, and have help taking it down and putting it back up.

Clean around the hat before you remove it...little...

Re: 99-01 32v 320bhp motor. Is it the same as the Mach 1 motor?

The '99 and '01 Cobra motors were not supercharged; that started in '03.

Re: They actually managed to make it even uglier!!!

I agree on the box truck opinion; took trips in a few of them while driving for a dealer, hard to see anywhere but forward.
They do look good, but visibility is bad.

Re: Motor oil

My opinion on oil is 5/20 Mobil 1; have used that brand of full synthetic in different weights/cars for years with great results.

Mine takes 6.5 quarts at oil and filter to bring the level very...

Re: Need to make a choice. Advice please

My two cents: I would take care of the gremlins only, then run the car for a while to decide which way to go; if it keeps giving you grief, time to move on, if not, keep it and make the changes that...

Re: 2018 Plans for your car.

Should replace hood decal...starting to show small bubbles along one edge, and have lower outside pad of driver seat recushioned, if that is possible.

Coil cover gaskets/grommets.

Replaced coil cover gaskets today after reading about water infiltration, but the originals were in fine shape. The bigger issue I think is making sure that the coil wiring lead grommets in the valve...

Re: Oil Filter Adaptor Gasket - sealant?

Had the same thing happen to me on an '01 Cobra after changing thermostat...scary when that needle just keeps moving! Took me several cycles of filling the tube, running it a little, cool off, etc.

Re: Spring!

Wow, that is a lot different than what I was thinking; I like the idea of using it while washing and being able to rinse the bar. Gotta try it this spring. Thanks.

Very nice! I have never used clay bar; how do you keep the bar clean?

Re: Project Mach 1

Wow, you have quite a project, but sounds like you are willing to save the car, and that's neat!

Re: WTB: Stock air intake setup for Mach 1

I hope that someone has the complete setup for you that they are willing to part with; I put mine back to stock and it was kind of a slow process finding the pieces. Got a couple here, and also on...

Re: More issues 2.0

I agree on the grommets; when I changed plugs last winter the left and right holes at the firewall had rust in them...was not too sure what to make of it but then saw discussions on this site about...
