Re: Rear camera failure in S550

What is it with Ford and short wiring harnesses? They did this on the F-150s also, which would cause broken wires in the door harnesses. :OUCH:

Re: Finally Picked One Up

I hate when people put Cobra front ends on Mach 1 cars. I recently got blasted on the Mach 1 Registry facebook page for my thoughts, but to each their own! :soapbox:

Nice car BTW.

Re: Best non drag radial for stock rims?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that tire a summer tire?

I learned the hard way that summer tires S U C K on these cars. Zero traction unless it's a hot summer afternoon and the pavement is...

Re: Cat-back vs. muffler swap

Thanks guys. I'm not necessarily looking for a certain sound. I'm more interested in squeezing power out of this thing. I figured that 2.5" pipe running into 2.25" pipe isn't doing my car any...

Dang wish I knew you were looking. I saw a complete trans with bell housing at the NMRA swap meet yesterday for $300.

Cat-back vs. muffler swap

What are your thoughts on having new mufflers welded in place of the factory mufflers vs. buying a full 2.5" cat-back kit?

I'm currently running a Mac 2.5" H-pipe into the stock 2.25" cat-back. ...

Re: Ford's Mustang-inspired electric SUV won't use Mach 1 name

Yep, they've done another Bullitt. Time for another Mach 1.

Can you envision a 2020 Azure Blue S550 car with black stripes, a 500 HP Coyote engine, and that 10-speed auto? Holy smoke. :horse:

Re: Seats

Only ones I could find were the TMI covers sold by places like Late Model Restoration, and they were over $500 I think. They also don't match the factory seat covers perfectly.

So, I found an...

Re: MGW installation and metal in fluid

I do not know how long the fluid had been in there. The original owner gave me all the receipts he had, and trans. service wasn't an item that I saw in there. I'm sure he probably had it done at...

MGW installation and metal in fluid

Last night I finally got a MGW shifter and got the time to install it. At the same time, I changed a leaky tailshaft seal with a new Ford seal, drained the trans, and refilled with 3 quarts of...

Re: 275/40r17 or 315/35r17 which is better for overall performance on rear?

I think tire selection is more important than tire size.

I ran 315/35 Mickey Thompson Street Comps on my '01 and they would spin like crazy unless it was a 90 degree day outside. Hated those...

Re: Anyone try torco MTF fluid?

How much cash does it take to rebuilt a 3650 at home these days, with the carbon synchros?

Re: Anyone try torco MTF fluid?

That's great to hear.

Did you rebuild your trans? Do it yourself? Or did you just install these rings and leave the rest alone?

Re: First and Last Mach 1's made.

That's good information. I've been trying to determine the date of the first Mach 1 production. Mine was built 12-5-02 and is #713. Yours was built almost exactly a month prior and was #13. So it...

Re: Lug nuts

I ended up getting a set from American Muscle that are 1.4" long and they fit...just barely...but they fit.
