Re: Clutch/Transmission rattle

Yes replace the pilot bearing while you're in there. OEM Ford stuff is fine.

Re: New Daily Driver - TKat13

I like the wheels. I personally think stock height on most trucks nowadays is high enough. It seems to lose symmetry going much higher. I'm not a "truck guy" though, so I don't know what truck guys...

Re: TIL a group of Cobras is called a quiver

Very cool. I dig the blue with black wheels and no chrome. Something different. I wonder how the exhaust is run?

Re: They actually managed to make it even uglier!!!

I think the past few years the Camaro has looked amazing. So much I'd consider buying one if it had any driver visibility. Everyone I know that has actually owned one said you might as well be...

Re: Clutch/Transmission rattle

Sounds like the clutch isn't completely disengaging. If it has the stock clutch quadrant then grab the clutch pedal and pull up on it to allow the auto-ratcheting mechanism to adjust. If it has an...

Re: ISO hellion turbo kit pan punch

Agreed. I also don't like the hole punch method. Pull the pan and get a bung welded. This would also be a good time to get a larger capacity oil pan.

Re: Blown mach air fuel reading

13 is too lean for a blown car. If it's showing 16-17 then you have a time bomb.

Re: Need to make a choice. Advice please

Fix what needs fixed. Skip any performance stuff. Pay off car. Then decide what to do with it.

Re: Who ports Intakes

Seems like the gains would be pretty good on a turbo setup, especially with some decent cams. I assume you run one yourself?

Re: Spring!

Looks fantastic. Clay bar is amazing. After you use it once you realize how futile it is to wax a car without using a clar bar first.

Re: Spark plug gap

I run 80lb injectors. As long as the 60's provide enough fuel for your setup then it won't hurt to try. I have had some injectors in other builds that are just terrible to dial in (try a 55lb...

Re: Spark plug gap

Changing to 60lb injectors will not help at all if the current 80lb are tuned properly.

Re: Spark plug gap

Great info. Something I'm going to try. I also have a blowout-type issue in the upper RPMs. When I actually drive my car that is.

Re: Flsc

Unless I'm all backwards looking at your photo, I've never seen FLSC extend so far back. I've installed a few sets, and they always end here. There is also a weld plate included with the connectors...

Re: Project Mach 1

Looks like a fun resto project, but potentially expensive. I'd research the VIN as much as possible for a history, change fluids and plugs, do a compression test, and go from there. Hard to believe...

Re: Which car insurance agency to go with?

I had Grundy for 2 days. Read the small print, and call them for explicit clarification on what is covered because their wording is vauge. I could ONLY drive the car for things like car shows and...
