Re: Chasing a ghost. rear end noise.

Yep. Even with solids on the axle side the interior noise is just exhaust now. I can't tell any increase in NVH Whatsoever.

Going from an airplane taxiing for takeoff to what is now is pretty...

Re: Chasing a ghost. rear end noise.

Yea i read into the non-synthetic oil issue myself. contacted eaton directly regarding it and they couldn't present a "what will happen if you do" answer.
So i just opted to use it due to it...

Re: Chasing a ghost. rear end noise.

The little bit of diff noise I hear isn't an issue if that's what the little whoop sounds are on decel. I've been back and forth with a local shop about this for days now and they are pointing the...

Chasing a ghost. rear end noise.

I'm having a hell of an issue with rear end noise. And it's becoming quite the Bastid to trace what in the heck is actually causing it.

Car has a built rear end. True trac, mosers and a motive...

Re: Alternator ideas.

I ended up reusing the stock pulley. the shop was pretty convinced with the rpm its turning it shouldn't have any problem surviving,
which i tend to agree with.

I got mine back and back on the...

Re: Alternator ideas.

being in Florida, the under hood temps I'm sure are insanity. The voltage output has been been right on the money. I shifted into second, hit about 6700 and heard an audible pop and that's when crap...

Re: Alternator ideas.

Just tore it off and took it to a local place. They were pretty impressed with the carnage. The rotor absolutely exploded. Should know more next week once all the parts are in.

Re: Less Common Staggered Setup

Lightbulb Re: painting mach 1

I'd expect to spend 5-10k. All depends how extensive the prep goes (chemical strip or not) what's taped up and what is de-trimmed. Pulling all the glass, painting jams, under the hood etc. and of...
