I never even realized there was a rubber piece between the handle and shifter now. When I ordered it, it didn't have one.

Hey! I'm sorry for such a late reply. Went so long without any comments that I stopped checking the thread. Well the shifts are shorter and more "crisp". No rubber to give you that "spongey" feel....
