Old oil was not an option. Drained it into a large reservoir filled with all kinds of oil...
I did find someone claiming to have used Mobil 1 for over a year with no issues. So, Mobil 1 it is...new...

I would guess that ANY OIL > NO OIL. If they would just stock the stuff at the local NAPA, it would be a lot easier :)

It's a huge shame that Pete Rose isn't in the hall of fame. He was a great ballplayer more dedicated to the sport than Bonds or almost any current player. Pete also didn't cheat to set his records
