I'm getting rid of an Accufab. No matter what I do it keeps giving me a hanging RPM after its heats up and it seems to be totally random, I have to blip the throttle or it will raise itself to 2500rpm.

It's a crapshoot. I have had several SBTBs that have had the same problem. Right now I have a twin 65mm BBK that works well.

ok i talked to accufab and they said go on there website and follow the instructions on setting you TPS with a voltmeter because they are super sensitive and you have to set the volt reading between .98 and 1.0 volts for the car to idle correctly and i am yet to attempt it, just go on there website under tech for all the details

I have never had to set my TPS and I have had many, many TBs.

My Accufab worked right out of the box very smooth throttle response much better than stock.

i have set the voltage on my accufab Tb, nothing different, and made restrictor plate, only thing that changed was now hangs at 1600 until i blip the throttle, now i have blocked the iac and unplugged it and adjusted the idle screw so it would idle with the iac unplugged and the car hangs at 1100 rpm untill the car completely stops moving and cuts down to 900 rpm when it up to temp. i have cams in my car does this make a difference?

you might have to open up the hole in the restrictor plate.

the only thing is i think the comp cams in my car are affecting the restrictor plate so no matter what i do it wont idle correctly. The guy that is going to tune the car said he has seen this with mach 1s with internal work done to them and there is now way around it, you have to tune the throttle body to the car?? sounds like the truth to me but im not experienced on this subject

Don't confuse throttle response with a power improvement. All you are doing is letting more air in at smaller throttle openings. A dual 65 mm throttle body only gained like 1 hp on a blown 32 valve Cobra motor. What do you think we will gain? Nothing.

Yeah, you can basically figure out what cfm your setup is demanding and use a TB that fits your need. When I used a stock TB on a 18psi Whipple, it was choking it. I needed @1300cfm and the BBK flows 1300cfm. A N/A setup needs much less cfm and the BBK will not give you any on the big end.

I recently installed a BBK 65MM TB on my 03 mach and had no issues what so ever.

Yep, no issues including a power gain!

Re: BBK Dual 65mm Throttle body review

I'm sure glad I read this thread. My car was doing the whole "I'm gunna stall at idle with the ac on" deal. I bought an SCT tuner- those ones M1M hates, and set the rpm at 1k. The RPM did not change, so I set the stop on the TB to match it up. Now my car doesn't stall anymore :3amin: If my compressor is bad and I'm just avoiding it for now, that's just how it'll have to be for now.

This all could have been avoided if you were not such a pr&^% to everybody all the time. It's amazing you have any friends here or anywhere.

In all honesty is a TB even worth the $300 or so dollars?
