Re: Official Turbo HP/TQ Thread

I'm about to retune mine pretty soon. My clutch was starting to slip on my last dyno outing, then I finsihed it off at the track. I found out that i had a lot of exhaust leaks from the headers. We did manage to get 608rwhp out of 13lbs with 18 degs of timing but I wanted to turn it up to 18 or so but all the leaks wouldn't let me. I have now fixed them all and just waiting on my clutch disc to get here and new flywheel. I pulled the trans out today and the disc, pressure plate, and flywheel and pretty much shot. I'll be back on the dyno with some good fuel next time so I can hopefully turn it up. I want to try to hit mid 700 range at 20psi. Even after the retune with the SCT software now instead of Diablo the car drive so much better, almost like stock. I'm really starting to like this car again. It has been a big pain in the butt lately but that was mainly from the tunning with the diablo software. For some reason my car doesn't like it at all.

Thanks Bill, you need to get a trans in your car. It's coming on 3 years now. Once the T56 I have goes up I'll be looking at putting an auto in mine as well. Might grab Jim's Lentec from him if he still has it.

Go over to SVTP and look under the terminator section then go to turbo cobras and there are plenty of them over there.

Retuned the car on 20 psi, put down 745rwhp and 715 rwtq with 17* timing and a fat a/f of 10.0 there is a lot left on the table still. This was on 104 octane.

That TH400 soaks up a lot though so that's not a big deal. If you can't hit a 9.99 or less with that then hang it up.:claus:

Yeah the TH400 soaked up a 100rwhp over the 6spd I had on the same boost level. BTW I picked up a 100rwhp more by using E85 over pump gas on the same boost level. Doing nothing at all to the tune it picked up 45rwhp just by changing fuels. We tweaked on the tune and it picked up exactly a 100rwhp more.
