I will ask this here?
Is it worth putting 4.11 gears in this car stock?

Ok guys I'll be swapping to the F1-A soon :teeth: Only thing is I have to get it painted, the previous owner had it powder coated yellow. I'm thinking of either powder coating it azure or hydro dipping it in Carbon fiber. What would you do???

Re: Starting my Build

I dropped off the head unit earlier today to get dipped. Now Im looking to upgrade my BOV. Im not too sure which one to go with just yet, I need something that's good for 18 to 20 psi.

I ran a Tial 50mm with my F1A. It was pullied for 19psi and it wasn't quiet.

Im looking for something a bit more quiet, definitely staying away from the BBRV. I was thinking of vortech race valve but I'm not too sure if it will be enough for the F1. I got to do some research.

What he said. One time driving home my discharge pipe popped off the blower. I was blow through so the car still ran fine. At that point I didn't have any noise from the BOV, just the blower. It was still pretty loud. My friends used to joke that if you wanted a different noise to switch the side of the car they were driving by. Driver side was the BOV and passenger side was the blower.

Which gears did you guys use with the F1? I'm on 4:10s now and I was thinking of switching to 3:55.

Re: Starting my Build

I went ahead and slapped on the F1a and as you guys mentioned it's LOUD! Probably a bit to much for me honestly. I just might get rid of after I hurt some feelings or maybe downgrade to a D1SC. I'll post a pick soon it looks Good dipped in the carbon fiber.

is that bigger than the F-1a? What's the difference between that one and the d1sc? with my high compression ratio I think the F1 is just too much.

Re: Starting my Build

they now have a p1x and a D1x, not sure exactly whats different but both are apparently far more efficient than there non "x" counterparts. A D1 at lower boost levels is supposedly good for 30ish more hp same pullies and higher boost closer to 100 more hp, same pullies.

Picked up an 01 Cobra bumper couple months back. Decided to put it on while I was switching to the tr259 intercooler

Re: Starting my Build

Thanks. just waiting on some fog light bezels and I'll be using 03 Cobra fog lights.

Re: Starting my Build

Ya I just took my bumper apart to have the tabs and such fixed. I’ll be going 03/04 fogs as well. Found a great write up on svtp. Probably gonna go HID fogs and retrofit headlights as well

...and eat top ramen for a bit lol

SuperMach1 10-04-2017 06:36 PM

Re: Starting my Build

Haha top ramen and Lunchables is all the pockets allow. Glad to say im almost done with this build finally. I'd like to go with retrofits but they're a bit too pricey for me. Care to share that link on install installing the fogs?

I’m gonna have to find it again, it didn’t save it to my watches threads apparently

Re: Starting my Build

took the Mach out to the track with the new setup and ran 10.66 at 138 mph. It gained 13 miles per hour from the Old set up with a P1.

had some traction issues but I'll be back soon im sure it'll do low tens. I'll post a video soon
