Where do I go to find the info on my car..such as the options my car came with,the build number..whatever I can find out about it.

Go up afew categories to "Important information" section. Click on the "Certificate Ordering" thread. Go to the last few posts in that thread and their is a link to order a certificate from Ford. It'll give your "Born on date" and build number. Options for the Mach was easy. Manual/Automatic and the Interior Upgrade Package. That's it.

You need go to the Ford Show Parts website to purchase the certificate and along with it, you'll get the info as well.

There's no actual build number though, they didn't track sequence

The cert. from Ford will give you the sequence build #, there is no number on the car like on the Bullitt. You do want the certificate from Ford. It's nice to have.
You can get the 999 report from Ford, but it is not exactly correct and I do believe that you can also now get a Marti report on our cars as well.

Kevin Marti started detailed reports on Mustangs when he got custody of Lois Emingers' Ford dealer invoices. She saved them from the garbage dump, but sadly passed away years ago. You could buy your dealer invoice from her, but when Kevin got ahold of them he compiled them into a database. He sells them now, with various levels of information detail depending on what you're willing to spend. He now has later year Mustang information as well. The earliest his information goes back to in 1967, all earlier information was lost in the fire at the Ford Rotunda building in the '60s.

Yes, Ford Does have the build/sequence number on the Cert. of Authenticity as stated above you can order from Ford. No one else has that info on the cars except Ford.


Also.

There were only 3 options available for the Mach 1's, anything else on the car are aftermarket accessories.

1. COLOR
2. TRANSMISSION (Auto OR 5 speed)
3. INTERIOR UPGRADE (4 way headrests, aluminum pedals, aluminum trim around console, etc..) $295 OPTION.
