what is this?
 

hey guys,
my check engine light came on, code said evap leak and check fuel cap (autozone pulled code). I replaced the original cap with an OEM from the dealership and they cleared the code.

Now my check fuel cap light came on (no check engine light). The cap is definitely on correctly (clicks). Took a look under the hood and they only thing that looks iffy is this tube that connects the valve cover to the cold air intake...I suppose the heat warped the rubber so the hose doesn't fit snug...… could that be the reason for the check fuel cap?
Any other ideas? (knowing the fuel cap was replaced).

I cant believe its been 5 years since I last logged in. Car probably has 1k miles on it since then

That’s a pcv line and wouldn’t cause that, if it was leaking you’d get lean codes.

There are several lines from the filler neck to the fuel tank and evap can (behind driver rear wheel). I’d say you either got another bad cap or check those lines

appreciate the post! It must be one of those lines. I forgot that I tried an autozone cap and the CEL came back on. Dealership said it was because cap was not an OEM:rolleyses

Got the OEM cap and no CEL, but now a check gas cap.
