9 June 2013 a blessing in my eye

Well some of ya'll know a few years back on 9 June 2010 I was out on a mission and got hit with a IED and lost my left eye. i'm still very thankful i'm here to see and breath, its been a tough road of getting to the new normal, but its coming along. well I've tried many of things to help me get threw my injury and about a month and some change ago, it was on Easter Sunday I went to church for the first time in a very long time, it got me to thinking and thought to myself that I think this would be maybe the next step in my path of healing, I've always believe in God, but haven't really had that first hand relationship with him, so talked with a few people went and talked to a preacher and so it worked out that my 3 year annv feel on a Sunday this year and so this morning after church I got rebaptism. it was for a few diff reason, but big one was to help me get threw my injury.
anyways thought I would share,
one thing I believe in is be thankful for the small things in life, sometimes we get caught up in whats going on,
God speed to all and your familys

Good deal. Hey we could be living somewhere that has had explosions , fires, and tornadoes and not have anything. No clothes, no car, no home, no job, no nothing. But God will carry us through it all. :machgod:

We all get wrapped up is small issues. When you step back and take a look at life from the big picture you can get a sense of peace. There is no reason to be unhappy. I had someone give me advise once.: "Happiness is a choice. Choose to be happy and you will."

ASh, I read a book titled, I am OK and your OK, God doesn't make junk, and I have always been OK with myself every since.

Keep looking up and not down , it can only get better.

Glad to hear everything is going smoother. It's people like you that I have the most respect for.

My grandfather was a Bronze Star, WWII vet. It makes me so proud to have his folded flag on display in my living room. I broke down when I walked out of the funeral home with it. As the doors opened, the soldiers outside saluted. It makes me tear up every time I think of it.
