New member, first mustang

Hello fellas, Im from north central Missouri, purchased a 2003 DSG mach 1 about a year ago. The car has 14,000 miles, only thing that isnt original is the battery. I have searched the forum many times the past year so thought I would join in. I have always been a bow tie guy so this is my first "ford". Actually when i first saw the car for sale it intrigued me and after a little research i purchased it. I didnt know the mach had been reintroduced in 03 and 04 till then. Mofarmer

Welcome aboard, and enjoy the ride. If you have specific questions don't be afraid to ask, but the search feature is your friend as well. There's lot of good information here going back nearly 18 years, so dig in!

Welcome to the Reg. What are your impressions of the car so far?

My 2003 Mach 1 was my first ford also. I'm from a Chevy family but the catfish camaro just wasn't for me. Enjoy the registry and good luck.

If you ever get the chance be sure to go to Carlisle Ford show once with your Mach 1. We usually get abouty 50 Mach 1's at the show plus a bunch of iother cars and happenings with the Mach 1 Reghistry members who attend the show.

Thanks for the welcome, most of my interests has been late 60s to early 70s muscle so this is somewhat different for me, but im really enjoying this little car! I have kept all the original parts because i will sell it sometime, but i have installed eibach springs to lower it some and have taken the stock wheels and tires off to keep for the originality of them. I put some fr500 anthracite 18 inch staggered 10-9 inch wheels and I really like the look! Mofarmer

Ive had several "muscle cars" through the years, I liked to find as close to original cars as i could and then restore and sell and hopefully turn a little profit. I have a nephew that owns a body shop and I'm right handy at paint correction and mechanical. Some of the ones i was most proud of was,
1967 SS RS Camaro
1970 SS RS Camaro, all # s matching
1970 LS5 SS Chevelle, all #s matching (beautiful car)
currently have
1968 SS Camaro (project car needs lots of work)
2003 Mach 1
I'm getting to the age that cars like the Mach that I purchased that just needed a little paint correction is what I'm looking for mostly!

Thanks again guys for all the welcomes! I was planning to take the Mach for a drive today and of course it’s raining. Here is a pic of the Mach.

First post new member
I have a 04 Azure blue 5sp with a little over 10k I bought the car out of Calf. A year ago. I feel guilty saying this, I also have a 04 SVT Cobra conv. In screaming yellow with a little over 12k. I took that car to the Carlisle Ford nationals during the Mach 1 anniversary. There was a gentleman their with a 04 Mach 1 with 1800 miles since new in screaming yellow. I wanted that car SO bad because of the miles and color, but it was an automatic. I just did not want an automatic. I wanted the 5sp with the steel crank.I am missing the window sticker and also want the registry sticker. Can anyone steer me in the right direction.
