Die -cast cars

Does anyone have a clue where I can find a 1:64 or a 1:32 scale diecast car of a DSG mach? I've been looking since I bought the car. I do have the 1:18 scale die-cast from a company named Auto Art.

As far as I know, there is only one thus far. It was put out by New-Ray. They can be found at Wal-Mart.

I guess I will have to look at Walmart and Big Lots. I would have never thought to look at Big Lots. I think there is still one here in Green Bay

I have the black '03 model (1:18)...but since mine is an '04 with no stripes, I had my uncle remove the white stripes from the model and it looks pretty darn good! :yeh:

I only have about 5 or 6 1:18 Mustang diecast as of right now. I have a
1964 1/2 Mustang that I looked for for a while and found it for $18. I also have a concept of the Mach 3. Don't remember what year it is though. Those two are temporarly packed away in the basement.

My 1:18 scale DSG is pretty close to the real thing. Color might be a tiny bit off but not really that noticable unless you put it right next to the real car.

Re: Die -cast cars

The New Ray cars came in silver (?), red and blue. They are also available in kit form at hobby shops under the Testors brand. The red car also was available in mini-RC form as well. I built my own 1/64 scale Mach out of a Johnny Lightning Mustang GT kit ( as well as a Mach 1 conv., it comes with two complete cars in the kit). :borg:

I used to have that one, as well. I am so glad it didn't make it to production :wow: :concerned

I have a bunch of 70 Mach 1's in 1/64 but not our body style. Have not found any of those yet. The only ones I actually collect are Hot Wheels Mustangs..

I never realized how many I had until the other day. I probably have 50 or so 1/18 and a few other scales too. I have a wide range. I have some cheap $9.99 1/18 and several "slightly" more expensive ones including a 1 of 250 Lane Exact replica of a 1967 Shelby GT500. My wife was not happy when I brought that one home. Hi......my name is Kip and I am a car-a-holic.

I agree! The 1:18 are the best. I have 34 myself. I still keep my eyes open for new ones. My favorite are my unrestored series.

To phoenixsuns000,

I collect 1/32 cars also. Just FYI that there is a 1/32 scale 1977 Mustang II out and it is available in different colors. I bought two (2) of them (black) at WalMart a couple weeks ago just so that I could open one and keep one in the package. Can't remember off the top of my had who made it.

There have also been a few other 1/32 scale Mustang IIs out that I have. If you want I can provide that info to you. Don't know if they are available any more or not.

Don't know if you will see this reply so will try sending you a PM.

Guess some folks will riddle me when I admit that I have my original owner 1978 Cobra II in my garage next to my 2003 Mach 1.

Thanks. V/R, moodym

I purchased the AutoArt Mach 1 model. I was very impressed with the level of detail that was in the car for the price. Although, mine is slightly modified. I used mine as a "test bed" to be sure I wanted to go with the Shaker on my GT. Tore the car apart, cut off the roof, and repainted it Mineral Gray.

Here's the first pic after it was reassembled. I need to do a little cleanup around the top of the windsheild, build a convertible boot to cover the rear speakers as well as re-add the stripes. Now I'll have a pretty close scale replica of my own car. :)

I hear you there! That thing is pretty ugly but I kept the car anyway just for the heck of it.

WOW! Excellent job on the diecast model. I'm impressed! I've been looking for a plastic model to paint and put together. No luck there yet either. Either nobody makes them or the Mach's are so awesome they can't keep them stock. :OUCH:
