Donna, thanks for the solid info on the build date and other info. Being not real up to date on the warrantly stuff, how does a warranty claim happen before a car is bought by the customer (me)? Did the dealer find the problem and fix it before it hits the showroom? Thanks again, you are super! This site should by you a car!

Well, at our dealership, all cars that come in go through service first ... if there is nothing found then (which appears to be the case by your build date) or maybe your dealership doesn't follow that procedure ... then chances are someone had it on a test drive, and found the problem, that was corrected before the next person came to test drive it ;) I know we've had cars come in that were scratched up & fixed before going on the lot, and that will show as a warranty type repair, but the customer would never know unless they asked ...

At your conveniance could you please check 1FAFP42R73F420676? I was told by the sales rep that the build date is on each invoice when I take it in for service. On my last invoice it has a production date of 14 APR 03. I bought it on May 1 the day after it arrived so that seems pretty close but want to see if he was right.
