Now as far as the sale..... I have still been looking at it, but I cannot pull the trigger on putting it up for sale. I either sell it, or sink some $$$$ into it as I have a leaking valve guide. I would like to just forge the motor at the same time as having the heads redone, but as you are well aware, this stuff is not cheap!

BTW, the hottie has since posed in Playboys "Fresh faces"...:ORANGE:

Well let me know when you post that pic in hottie of the day . :worship:

Nothing is cheap . Does not look like it will get any better either . Our state tax just went to 6% and corp. tax went to 8.25% . We also have a 6% piggy back tax at end of year . Md. is now the worst taxed state in the country .

Both work...but the 36" gives you alot more room to work with.

Now that I have ordered everything I am looking for someone to install it. I have went to some people that were referred to me. What am I looking at for price to install the sc, pump, inj and tune? Also, people are telling my dad (he is running around asking people since im in iraq) that I need new spark plugs, and I will be running a lot hotter so I should replace my radiator. What are your thoughts?

Your stock radiator will be fine. Run the NGK TR6 plugs, part number 4177. Gap should be set at 28-32. Ball park figure for the labor would be $1,200.

:agree: Couldn't have said it better myself.

A 4.15 pulley with a D1 is more than a 4.00 pulley right? Or do I have them mixed up. On boost I mean

4.15 will slow the compressor down vs the 4.0 thus less boost with the 4.15.

I think I need to switch than, Im running a 4.00 pulley which I was told was 10-11psi, so switching to 4.15 would put me around 9-10psi, but this is through manifolds and o/r x, I dont know the boost level on the 4.00 pulley til Feb 9 when it goes dyno n tuned..

PM 03TRMach. Mike is friend of mine that just put a D1 on his Mach and I believe he has the 4.15 pulley as well.

I know I already asked but I just want to make sure Im not blind and cant read. Cobra tanks, needed or not needed to run a P1SC? So far, I have had two businesses tell me I need a cobra tank. Are they just trying to get more money from me? Thanks

CMEmach1 02-02-2008 12:28 PM

Re: Official Procharger HP/TQ/mods thread:

No matter what anyone says...you don't need the cobra tank or pumps for that matter. I used my stock tank with an Aviator pump and after 43,000 mi., 18-20 trips down the 1/4 mi., five 20 min.high rpm sessions on the Barber Motorsports Road Course Track and countless local street encounters I have never had a problem with fuel delivery.

Your stock fuel tank with an aviator or SVT Focus pump will be fine until you start reaching the high 400 hp range. Then you can switch to dual pumps.

Re: Official Procharger HP/TQ/mods thread:

The advantage to the Cobra tanks is they're sumped. You can get by with your regular tank, just don't let the fuel level get too low.

Re: Official Procharger HP/TQ/mods thread:

Like I said in my previous post.....No matter what others say you don't need the cobra tank or pumps. I have run mine with the low fuel light on without any problems.

Nice #'s! Jon Lund knows what he's doing. He tuned my car a little over a year ago. I want to go to a D1 but I'm gona forge it first. Good luck with it!

What's the duty cycle on those injectors at that power level? Also do you have the stock maf or what?

Just got a retune done this weekend.....I'm happy. :wings:

Head unit - P1sc

Stock Bottom End - Yes, bone stock longblock

Pulley size - 4.00 Seeing 10 lbs of boost @ 6500rpm

Fuel system - 42 lb injectors, SVT Focus pump with Kenne Bell BAP

Tuner - SCT tune by Tim Barth @ Modular Powerhouse

Mods - BBK longtubes, off rd. x-pipe, Magnaflow magnapacks, Anderson Powerpipe, Php intake spacer, ported lower intake.

Made 481 rwhp & 440 rwtq on a Dynojet

ScreaminMachOne 02-26-2008 08:46 PM

Re: Official Procharger HP/TQ/mods thread:

Re: Official Procharger HP/TQ/mods thread:

Got my belt slipped fixed and decided to have it retuned.

Head unit - D1sc

Stock Bottom End - No, forged rods and pistons 8.5 CR

Pulley size - 3.5 Seeing 17-18 lbs of boost @ 6500rpm

Fuel system - tiwn GT pumps with 60 lb injectors

Tuner - Pro-Dyno

Mods - Full exhaust and countless other things.

Made 660 rwhp & 565 rwtq on a Dynojet

We could not take it to redline because without a modified FPDM and without upgraded lines the car is running out of fuel pressure past 6200 rpms. My tuner says that when these two things are fixed the final numbers should be around 700 rwhp!!!!! Videos and stuff are coming soon.

Re: Official Procharger HP/TQ/mods thread:

I'm really enjoying reading all the these threads on Mach 1 power! I'm done quite a bit of work on my 2003 Zinc Yellow Mach - for the record:

Head unit - P1SC

Stock Engine (except for injectors and tune)

Pulley size - 3.7" (11 lbs of boost @ 6500rpm)

Fuel system - Cobra Twin Pumps with 42 lb injectors

Tuner - Dyno Tuned Performance- VA Beach, VA

Mods - SCT Tune via Pro Racer III, Diablo Sport MAFia (set to 4) with stock MAF in blow-thru configuration after intercooler, Bassani Ceramic Coated Headers with CATS/X-Pipe and Mufflers, Centerforce Clutch & Aluminum Flywheel, FRPP Aluminum driveshaft, cold air intake with fenderwell mods w/K&N air filter mounted on opposite side away from engine

489 rwhp @ 6100 rpm & 466 rwtq @ 5000 rpm on a Dynojet

I am considering going to Kenne Bell BAP as even the Cobra pumps were maxed out at 100% @ 6100 rpm, although AFR was still good at 11.8:1 at 6500 rpm. I've only got 275's on my rear and they break loose way too easily, so looking at going to 17 x 10.5's and 315's.

Does anyone have a good solution to the oil that is drawn back into the head unit and intake system from PCV system? I've got JLT PCV Pre-Filters in both valve covers and I still get some oil in my inake system. What a pain!

i have been reading for dys about power adders and the stock bottom end and im curious about how much forged rods and pistons would cost parts+labor, and since the block is already apart, should the crank be upgraded too?
