D1SC Question

I'm thinking of getting a procharger with the D1SC unit. I want to know if you have to tap into the oil pan with the D1SC, or is it self contained like the P1SC? Also is it worth it to get the sheetmetal race intercooler? Thanks

Re: D1SC Question

looking at these specs, what would be the advantage of using the d1sc over the p1sc?

Re: D1SC Question

The SC in the head unit name stands for Self Contained. You can get D1s in both flavors. The D1SC will make 4lbs more at the same pulley size as the P1SC. Unless you plan on making 18+ lbs I would stay away from it. I would get the P1SC-2 head unit. It makes 2psi more than the P1SC at the same pulley size. The P1SC-2 hits harder down lown than the D1 and I think would be a better street blower. I have run all 3 on my car and I think the P1SC-2 is the best choice for a street car that wants to make more than 12lbs of boost.
