Fuel Pump Failure

Error Code P1237 is what I have. The car has 37K miles and sits for months at a time. I drove about 30 miles, parked and started again 20 minutes later. The Mach started, went about 10 feet and went into full on shudder mode and stalled. After 10 minutes, it would start and do the same. Added 5 gallons new fuel. No help. I'm guessing the fuel pump has failed. Before I start the R&R, has this happened to anyone else? Fuses and switch are all good. No other explanation I can find.

Re: Fuel Pump Failure

My fuel pump crapped out last year at 31,000 miles. I was driving along going about 45mph and the engine just completely stalled out. You could crank it, but it wouldn't re-start.

I was lucky to be in a parking lot, just coasted into another stall. First time on a tow truck...

Just did mine
Crapped out at 103k Miles
P1237
Go to the Fuel pump Driver module located behind the trunk side trim on the driver side. Jump pins 2-3 and pins 9-10. If pump does not come on...you need a pump...

Re: Fuel Pump Failure

My mach died while driving and pulled a p1237 code after towed home. Thanks Triple A. Next morning, no fuel pressure and don't hear the pump. Here's the weird part, I put on the battery charger keep the battery 100% charge and for the fun of it, I turned the key and the fuel pump purred and got fuel pressure. Started up fine and now I can't do the FPDM test by jumping the pins. So is it the fuel pump or the FPDM? :what:

Re: Fuel Pump Failure

I replaced the FPDM as well while I was there. I was able to isolate it was the pump, but the FPDM was just at old...with My luck I would have the FPDM Crap out a week after I did the pump. Also replaced the CCRM as I had a new-old one laying around with no miles on it...
