1969 pillar "ponies"

I've seen 2 ways of showing the ponies on the 69 Mach1. I've seen'em running "away" and "running forward". What is the factory way, as I'm rebuilding one myself. Thanks in advance.

Running forward, always! If it ran backwards, it would be a Camaro... :borg:

The Ford Mustang logo always faces left. The rationale is that in horse racing, they always run left to right, and the Mustang runs the opposite direction from the norm.

But the pillar ponies, like fender ponies always face forward...if it were facing backwards it would be a GM product... :borg:
