New motor?

If something was to ever happen to your motor and you need a new one where would you turn? Who would you trust to build it? Where can you buy short and long blocks that are ready to go? Just curious incase I ever have to look into a new one

Im taking my stuff to MPR Racing Engines based on a lot of reading and asking people I trust that run their stuff hard. Theyre in Boynton Beach FL

the ford racing stuff tends to be decent if you arent gonna push it super hard but it seems that if you do have problems they dont do a great job standing behind it.

MMR & L&M would never get a dime from me.

A Ford remanufactured engine is the only way I can see myself going. I've been burned by an engine builder and have since vowed to not go down that road again. Fyi- engine builders do NOT stand behind their work. There will always be an excuse and they will not own up to their mistakes. I've seen it time and time again in real life and on the forums. It's simply their M.O.

go read the thread on SVTP in the GT500 section, title is roughly "how little boost to make 1000hp". L&M has been building motors with cheaper rods than the customer ordered as well as putting in stock timing components and not the upgraded pieces they ordered and paid for. It has cost a few people engines and they do not care

HPP has stood behind their build on mine, so I will stay with them.

I also would like to stay with ford built motors but where do you find them. I mean if I wanted a stock long block Mach motor where would I buy one

Ya I was pretty shocked and the bs they tried to claim to pawn it off on the owner before it was torn down and found the wrong timing stuff on one side of the motor. Evolution motor sports is mixed up in it too.

For a stock style ford motor you might be able to get something through a ford parts dealer. They've been discontinuing a lot of stuff forcing us to go aftermarket

Did a google search a while back in case I ever need a fast replacement motor and found these 2. I have never ordered from them and can make no claims about them.
