Fuel pressure sensor

Hi guys,

do 04 Mach 1's have a fuel pressure sensor already on the car like the Cobras did?

Thinking about getting an aeroforce interceptor gauge and was not sure if I would the sensor kit too?

Thanks.

Re: Fuel pressure sensor

yes the Machs have a factory fuel rail pressure sensor

Re: Fuel pressure sensor

oh really!?

so should get the reading from the interceptor OBD connection?

Re: Fuel pressure sensor

yes it should.

Re: Fuel pressure sensor

There is another thread you posted in about there being a difference between the reading on the interceptor and an analogue gauge I saw?

Re: Fuel pressure sensor

hard to say without seeing the thread. I know there are a lot of PIDs for fuel pressure, some of them are pressure drop, some of them are deltas etc... could be as simple as comparing the wrong PIDs

It was this one,

http://www.mach1registry.org/forums/...d.php?t=132095

Where the reading on is 30psi on the mechanical gauge and 40psi on the electrical sensor but both are correct?

Re: Fuel pressure sensor

The reading I am getting seems to be between 39 and 41 any time, ie engine off, engine idle and engine under acceleration.

Really not too sure what I should expect to see with fuel pressure readings, just thought it differ between those 3 states alot more than what it does.

Any ideas?

Re: Fuel pressure sensor

would help to know exactly what PID you're reading as there are several fuel pressure related ones and they read different ways for different reasons.

Re: Fuel pressure sensor

Oh OK.

From memory it was just the first fuel pressure one that was in the list.

How can I identify it?

Go back into setup and tell us what they're calling it
