It's crazy how time flies. I hope you all are doing well.

This community and its members holds a huge place in my heart still for it played a huge part in my life as I was "growing up." I like to come back here time to time for those reasons. Namely Mike, 3150Mach1, who coordinated the VA Blue Ridge cruises back in the day, and helped me with some of the work work on my car and taught me quite a bit. Some people you just don't forget.

I first showed up here in 2006 and like to come around every now and then. I still have the Mach, but all she's doing is taking up space in the garage. It runs but I don't trust the way it feels right now so I don't really take it out so I don't get stranded. I now drive a Subaru Outback that I love, despite it being a total mom-mobile.

Anyway, just checking in, I hope you all are doing well. It's crazy how time flies. 15 years :wtf: Kinda makes me sad.

This forum is truly amazing and I love it.
Why do you not trust her? what is going on with her?
Glad to see some of the old school back on here.

I said on another thread its funny how I am in the process of semi-restoring the car now. 114k miles or so. and I am finding projects all the time. Its really funny because it just seems like yesterday new members were coming on with their Brand New cars. Not just new to them...

I still enjoying coming here. I hope we are able for a long time to come...

Hello and I agree. I used to come in here daily but still drop in when I can. I am getting back on the Mach so I should be in here much more. I guess you can say I am restoring it as well, err... a few times now.

My thoughts and best wishes to those all in the path of this last weeks horrible storm. I was without power for five days, with temps dropping into the teens I had to move in with my mom who fortunately has a generator since power in her part of town was also out. Those in Texas without power or water have all my thoughts and prayers.

We were fortunate and never lost power. lost one pipe but fortunately minimal damage. got a temp repair done so got water back yesterday...fortunate to have to camp out in a house with power at least...dad's back up generator went out for some still un-diagnosed reason, but...overall...could have been a lot worse...Few friends and family without both for 4-5 days. Even one friend who just got diagnosed with Covid the weekend before the storm. Whole family without water and heat for 5 days with the Flu...

Glad you had a warm place to go. Since we're out in the country, we have a 10k generator "just in case"....

This is true, lol. I really think I'll always have a Mach if I own a Mustang. I've been in others and they just do not feel right, unless when I'm driving I see that shaker.
I've even said if I ever got an 03/04 Cobra, I would swap the hood to the shaker, being that many have done the eaton swap and shown it can be done.
Just something about that shaker.

Yes it was crazy, wasn't out long without power.
We did have a couple pipe burst in our horse barn and one in the back yard, but all were easy to get to and quick fix.
I hope everyone else is doing better.
We are still on a boil water order right now.

Checking in here. Never lost power, but the MFers shut the electricity off for 48 hours when it was 5°. I hear some people are getting bills for thousands of dollars. If they try to charge me for that there will be an a$$ whooping.

Rather than sit in my house and being depressed I went out in the garage and put a coat of wax on the Mach 1. You can never have too much shine. It was 70° weather Sunday.

There gonna try, they shut off the energy meter chart of everyone’s account but I saw mine before it was turned off, somehow the 2 days I had a total of maybe 30 minutes of power my usage was more than any other day this billing period...

Yeah i received an email notice that my usage was higher than normal, had al the lights off heater on 67, not running any appliances at all, just lights when needed.

its going to be a fiasco with the power companies..

Re: It's crazy how time flies. I hope you all are doing well.

Wow, time really does fly. I got the mach when I was 15 (31 now) and I lived on here. I still check in from time to time and I still have the Mach (has about 34k miles on it). I only drive it a couple hundred miles a year at best now. The car does not feel as tight and stable as it once did.
I remember when I felt like I could take on any stock car...now my audi would be a challenge for it. I love the mach and I don't think I will ever get rid of it, but I don't think I will ever buy another mustang either. I'm very disappointed with the new Mach 1 and don't even get me started on the Mach E. The new GT500 is now a six figure car...it's still a mustang. I'm planning on buying another fun car in the next few years but it's going to be something like a 911, R8, McLaren, or even a Lamborghini or Ferrari (some benefits to getting older and actually having money lol).
I'll always keep an eye on this place and I hope that new owners of our cars...and even the new mach continue to keep this forum going.

Good to hear from you. If you're serious about a supercar, don't let the new GT500 get away from you. It is serious, even 'still' being only a Mustang, it's an amazing drive.

Yea me too Kat, after 2 to 3 years up on jackstands chasing the same overheat issue, I had it towed to new home and shop, retired from prison after 20 years and started working on her again, thought it fixed, she broke my heart AGAIN today, see my radiator fan thread.
