P0465

03 mach. Basically stock. About 100k miles on it.

Code is defined as "Purge Flow Sensor Circuit Malfunction".

I haven't noticed the car running any different aside from yesterday. I did a quick run up to 80 or so. I pushed in the clutch to slow down for the upcoming off-ramp, and upon applying the brakes, realized the car had died.

Anyone dealt with this code before? Any idea where to start looking?

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure about the code but my mach started to die when I came to a stop. Ended up replacing my IAC. Idle air control valve. Make sure you use genuine ford part, I tried knock off and same issue kept happening. Hope that helps.

Thanks, Mason. I'll look into that. It looks like the code I'm pulling may be related to (or cause) a vacuum leak. If I get my issue fixed (looks like maybe just the sensor needs replaced), and its still wanting to stall when I push in the clutch, I'll look at that. Thanks

I can't even find P0465 in the list of codes for our cars..? Are you sure it wasn't P0456?

Its definitely there.

The code is a generic one, like most codes, but it definitely applies.

Re: P0465

It sounds like it has to do with the evap canister, either a problem with the vent solenoid or with the purge outlet tube. The evap canister is located on the drivers side in the rear behind the wheel. You can see it underneath, but you really need to remove the wheel to gain complete access.
