This year has been hectic with work. We were deemed essential 5 minutes after the closures started. I was in NYC the week before they shutdown and the week they reopened. Have been very blessed to have avoided the virus (or at least not getting sick if I had it) with as much as I travel. Had an uncle pass away from complications from it.

I understand, Brian. What a pisser this year has been. Can't wait to put it in the rearview mirror and get a fresh start. Looking forward to seeing you at the BBQ.

Ditto Brian, will miss walking the show and vendors with you but will catch up with you at the hotel bbq. Just dumped some 110 leaded Sunoco into Mach for the hot drive up. Tim will be convoying with me in his 69’. We both should be about 10lbs lighter when we roll in!

We will see everyone soon. !! I will be there on Wed. 1-2pm approx. Tam will be down on Friday. has to work Wed/Thurs.

We have stuff for BBQ, Plastic ware, aluminum foil, plates, cups, salt/pepper, foil pans, napkiins, table clothes., etc... we should be good on all that.

I think John/Jenny Clor and some friends will be there too, they will bring some drinks (soda/Pop I think, not sure what else)

Just remember your Masks and hand sanitizer(s). We'll get thru it! :)

Ann and I should be rolling in around 6 pm depending on the traffic. We'll give you a call and update when we get close. We'll be bringing up our new "John Clor Special" as seen in Mustang Times Magazine. We'll also our have our masks and even the Pony will be wearing one. ;)

Well TJ Rockwells is cancelled. They will not allow more than 10 people to a table and you have to be related. They also stated that the State has actually sent authorities to check on this so they are adhering to the State mandate. Not sure how else we could pull it off without being untruthful. So we’ll need to rethink things for food Thursday evening.

Oh and we hope to arrive around 1:00/1:30 pm and head out to Walmart for some items.
See everyone then

Tim and I are meeting up on the Pa Turnpike tomorrow at 9:30 . Not sure if we are going to hit the show field first to check things out or not yet. Either way we will be at the Homewood early afternoon at the latest.

Well, made it to Williamsport and could not get it into gear to leave hiway, struggled and finally got stopped and thinking it's throwout bearing/clutch? let it sit, it shifted fine while engine was off, struggled to get back to hiway to return home, I didn't want to chance it any farther, since I know theres more stops in Selingsgrove. Coming back, it's all hiway, so made it home without too much difficulty, other than very hard shifting to get into higher gears. Clutch pedal really vibrating and chattering.... :(

looks like we won't be coming back down, a few other things have come up also and we sorry we won't see our friends, have fun and stay safe! See ya'll next year. Hope to see pics from people!

Sad to hear, Dave. I guess the "Carlisle Curse" is alive and well. Most of us who have been to the All-Ford Nationals at Carlisle numerous times have a "Carlisle Curse Story" over the years.

It's most definitely going to be a reduced presence on the showfield. The hotel is pretty empty compared to years past and our diner crowd last night was only 7 long time MR1 regulars (The Franks, Draper's, and Hamilton's). One of the things we talked about over diner about how much this means to all of us. Over the years we've become family as we've watched each other's kids grow up and our hair colors change (or fall out :3: ). It's truly a family reunion. Our Canadian friends will be truly missed as their Southern Border has been shut down due to the Corona Virus. It they wanted to attend this year, they'll have to come around to Mexico and sneak in that way.

All the virus protocols are in place and we will adapt and do as needed. Something interesting is the mask wearing has becoming a "fashion Statement". Dawn Franks has a really neat "Mach 1" face mask and I'll get some pictures and post up later.

The new 2021 Mach 1 will be here so there will be a little ray of sunshine for us to see, but knowing what 2020 has been so far, it'll probably rain on that too. :eyes:

Another Carlisle coming to a close.... attendance with cars, vendors, and people was amazing. Fairgrounds did a great job providing safety measures in the food court and individual stands. Mask wearing was pretty much up to the individual worn in tight areas but generally not so much in the open show areas. Did our bbq both Friday and Saturday at the Homewood with The Ford Mach1 developers in attendance on Friday for Q and A on the new Mach. Weather held fine both days and all in all a fun time and much needed slice of normalcy....

Glad to hear such a positive report on the show and BBQ. Sounds like it was worth the effort, and the wait. Here's to an even better 2021 show!

Think there were about 27 03-04 Mach 1's in the field on Saturday. A few less than other years, but a good turnout considering the kind of year it has been.

A big Thank You! to Lou for stepping in and cooking for me at the BBQ.

Re: Carlisle 2020 - - - Who's in?

Sorry I didn't get on here sooner. Had a great time at the show was really good to see everyone. Hope to see everyone back next year and be back to the real normal.. lol
We had a smaller group of Mach 1 members than ever but the Friday evening BBQ was well attended. Was nice to have some Ford representation at the BBQ and was really cool they had some giveaways for us. Really had a great time.
Those who do so much each year for our BBQ thank you. For those who just started getting involved and provided some items thank you. Anyone else who is going to be at our BBQ please get involved in any manner you can whether its bringing food, drink or other supplies or even offering to cook if your not shy please let us know we would appreciate the assistance. Any suggestions or ideas are always welcome. We want everyone to be involved.

Thank you for the King Cakes you sent John/Falcongtho much appreciated. Thank you to Lew/Mach146 for bringing something new this year he made grilled shrimp on a skewer. The burgers from Brian/Bris09 and the chicken from Chris/OldSchool. The salads and cookies from Sue & Jeff/JDraper Hot Dogs and buns from Brandon and the drinks from C&M Bennett. The watermelon was nice addition on Saturday might be something to add to our lost for Friday thanks to Bill Hamilton. I hope I didn't forget anyone it would not be intentional.

Was very happy to contribute something that many seem to enjoy for dessert. Hope that I can share it again with y'all next year in person. Would love to hear anything that the Ford guys had to say about the upcoming Mach 1. It sounds like they really enjoyed being there, and hope they can be there again next year as well.

John, I think we covered pretty much the whole car from bumper to bumper along with the why and why nots. Believe the only question we didn't ask Carl was since he worked on the Bullitt and Mach 1, would he be leaving Ford to start an aftermarket performance shop.

Brian, he's 52 and been with Ford 30 years. He's probably going to the Golden Pocket Watch at retirement Award (LOL).

I know, was just joking as the last person who worked on both cars did leave and start his own company.

Oh I knew that and your sense of humor, but Scott was a lot younger and with only about half the company time towards retirement when he started MRT. ;)
