That is very cool, Joe. If I didn't have a brace of Batmobiles on order I would seriously consider one.

The shots I posted consist of pairs of Batmobiles, the shiny one's being the regular produciton car, the not so shiny one is a special edition built in only a quantity of 525 units.
Still awaiting the Elite and Super Elite versions to comeout in the next few months.

WOW!!!! Great post....

A few threads back there was mention of a Mustang collection of more the 3000 piece's. The Guys name is Scott Moen and he has a 2004 Orange Mach. Some of you may have notice his garage picture in the Sept 2008 Mustang Mothly (page 30) He's a REALLY great Mustang guy and I talk to him ALOT through emails. I am looking forward to someday cruisin to his place in my Mach to shot some pic's of are Mach's together and checking out his AMAZING collection.

Anyways....my collection is nothing compare to his but here is a link to my 70 Mach collectables

http://www.machwon.com/Collection

and I've started a 03/04 Collection page

http://www.machwon.com/Collection2.html

Somewhere in the mail system is the AutoArt 2003 Mach's (red, blue, white, and black) Can't wait too add them to the collection

Hopefully you enjoy the collection and don't get lost.....if you see something I am missing I'd love to know (even though it will drive me nuts LOL)

Oh yeah BTTT for a great post :)

Well, I paid $60 for mine when they first came out so it isn't really overpriced.

Shipping was pretty pricey to Canada....also the seller was hard to talk to....not sure if he understood my questions. Oh well...maybe someone else will have better luck

This is so way cool for diecast collectors. It's a series of Snap-On brand tool boxes and other garage items that would really set up a good diorama.

I want a display case for my cars, one that holds about six cars and is made of clear plastic. Six should be plenty as I only have three cars so far, but I have plans to buy a couple more. Any ideas about the best place to get one or who makes a good one?

All my case's came from here.

http://www.diecastbymail.com/mm5/mer...egory_Code=dca

I have 2 for the 12-car and alot of the single case's

Not sure what they would charge to ship to U.S but being local it made sence for me to shop there. I have seen simular case's on ebay

I have a bunch of 1:18 scale toolboxes, car ramps, compressor, any many other things. I even have a 4 post lift. I'll try to find a pic of them.

EDIT: Found one.
I found a pic of my temporary set-up before I had to put everything in storage.

Cool post and great pic's. You guys are gonna make me come out of the closet and talk about my diecast cars. I've got 10 different 1970 Mustangs and two of the 2003 Mach 1's. It's amazing the quality differences in the some of the models. The Highway 61's are great in their detailing for the price. They are actually better than some of the Franklin Mints (I have two). The best I have is a Danbury Mint 1970 yellow Mach 1. The detail is so great on it that I swear you could change the radio stations and look in the glove box for an owners manual.

MachWonGuy 01-21-2009 11:06 AM

Re: Die -cast cars

I was always under the impression that Franklin mint was much higher standards then Danbury mint but when I received my Danbury Mint Mach it was proven that my information was incorrect. Danbury Mint did an amazing job on the 70 Mach, best part it doesn't sit like they forgot to put an engine in it or it has a car trailler on the back :)

When I added a 2nd 12-car 1/18th scale display to my display case I took a good look at the latest Highway 61 release of the 70 Mach.

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1.../Diecast22.jpg

All I can say is WOW!!!! The detail is just insane. I was hoping to take one of my High Way 61 Machs and have it painted to match my 1:1 car but after seeing the detail I told myself it would be IMPOSSIBLE!!!

U really notice the details when you compare the 3rd released Ertl Mach

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...t/Diecast4.jpg

to HighWay 61's

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1.../Diecast19.jpg

Its amazing how far Diecast have came in 10yrs :) Only thing I don't like about HighWay 61 is trying to get them out of the package. Sofar I haven't broken anything off yet but I imagine the day would come if I tried to put them back in

WOW!!! What a collection. You have more airframes than some of the major air carriers (LOL). Very nice, and I love that they are "out of the boxes". :23:
