What are you expecting? High 8s, low 9s? What was it running before these last round of mods?

Re: Official Procharger HP/TQ/mods thread:

Got mine tuned by Darrin last week, did a great job! It feels a lot better, and extremely smooth...Now don't knock the power numbers until you finish reading...

Stock Bottom End
P1SC, 3.80 Pulley
Fuel System:42 lb. injectors, Focus Pump
Tuning: Maf.ia, SCT X-Cal2
Tuner: Darrin
Exhaust:Jegs offroad H, Magnaflow catback
RWHP/RWTQ 378/375 @ 3.5 lbs. of boost:31:

I didn't have a gauge with me when tuning, but installed today. Boy was I suprised. Vacuum reads what I consider normal at 20 idle, give it some gas it hits 10, lots of gas in N it will read 0 vac. I was suprised when I got into the accelerator today and it hit 3 lbs, and at about 6k it hit MAYBE a bit past 4. Gotta find the leak, wherever it might be. Used kit, and I doubt it is in the gauge. Will post back up when I get it figured out. Should be about 9 lbs atleast I would think, and might have to drop down the timing! How small of a leak would it take to lose that boost?! Oh well, she's consistent and safe:12:

Re: Official Procharger HP/TQ/mods thread:

Your vacuum is right were mine is so I do not think you have a leak. I would look at a possible bad surge valve.

dontmockthemach 09-18-2007 11:41 PM

Re: Official Procharger HP/TQ/mods thread:

that would be awesome news, because I have the race intercooler, and that mug is a pain to take off! Not to mention all the pipes, etc. I was thinking hks, and just tig welding it on or whatever needs to be done. Thanks for the input, I am ready to get this thing finished and now mess with it for a few months!:gears:

Oh, and when I looked at the surge valve (vented to atmosphere), I could still see light around the edges of the butterfly valve, when held up to the light. I am guessing this isn't normal? I also tightened the allen heads on either side of the bov, just because I thought they were wiggled loose. Maybe they were right where they needed to be

Re: Official Procharger HP/TQ/mods thread:

I want to get the P1SC for my 03 mach with 33K miles. Here are the things that everyone seems to have in common
-Bottom end is stock
-42lb inj
-Cobra or SVT Focus Pump
-Some exhaust
-Tune

How much does it cost for everything? I already have the exhaust, tune, RAI. Besides the list above and what I already have, what else do I need? I would wanna push from 6-9psi and Im expecting that would put me around 420-450rwhp and 420rwtq. Thanks

The RAI cannot be used with the Procharger. The tune is useless as you will need a new tune. Expect to pay around $5000.00 for the kit/tune/extra parts.

5G is what I was expecting to pay. And I know my existing tune wouldnt work. Besides what I mentioned in the list, is there anything else? And does anyone have any pictures of their setup with the procharger?

Re: Official Procharger HP/TQ/mods thread:

Ive done a little more research. Here is what I am leaning towards.

P1SC ( I dont plan on going bigger in the future, otherwise I would get the D1SC)
42lb inj
Cobra pumps
Diablosport MAFia
XCal2 tune (already own-Ill have them redo it)

I still have a few more questions though.

-Is a cobra tank necessary or is stock fine?
-Is a BAP required? I noticed people that have focus pumps have them but not many with cobra pumps
-What size pulley will keep me between 6-8psi? It seems like 4" and up will get me there.
-What is considered conservative timing? I read that the A/F ratio should be between 11.8-12.0....am I correct?
-Where is the best website to buy everything I need?

Thanks for the help

Stock bottom end: YES

Head unit: P1SC

Pulley size and boost level: 14psi pulley, saw 11psi at the gauge.

Fuel system: 42lb injectors, 255 chicane fuel pump...Ran out of fuel at around 6,700rpms

Tuner: Tim Matherly

Other notable mods: ported intake, Hooker long tube headers, 4.30 gears, my custom made exhaust, Anderson 4" powerpipe

RWHP/RWTQ: I'm guessing around 520-540rwhp It ran 126mph in the 1/4th with the car at fuel weight.

New numbers and times coming soon...

Re: Official Procharger HP/TQ/mods thread:

-Is a cobra tank necessary or is stock fine?

Not necessary, but it does contain baffling inside to aid with keeping fuel slosh to a minimum and this in turn keeps you from cavtateing your fuel pump under hard acceleration. Keeping at least 1/4 tank of gas will do the same (no cavitation)

-Is a BAP required? I noticed people that have focus pumps have them but not many with cobra pumps

I am running the dual Cobra pumps without the BAP and I have no problems with my setup.

What size pulley will keep me between 6-8psi? It seems like 4" and up will get me there.

Not sure about the 6-8, but my P-1 is a 4" and I see 9.5lbs.

-What is considered conservative timing? I read that the A/F ratio should be between 11.8-12.0....am I correct?

My version of conservative is 13 deg on my car. I am sure others will say something about the same. My A/F is 11.2 @13 deg and the other tune is 11.7 @ 18 deg. I wold not want to see leaner then 12 on a stock bottom

Where is the best website to buy everything I need?

Superchargers4less, Texashotrods, RPMoutlet, and many more. Suggest google or perhaps someone else can chime in on this one.

BTW just for S&G's, I am pushing 425 and 460 rwhp (Loaded dyno) on my two tune on the stock bottom.

The question is not how much it costs. The question is what do you want your car to do and how long you want it to hold up??

Funhog 12-23-2007 11:43 AM

Re: Official Procharger HP/TQ/mods thread:

I obviously want the car to last as long as possible. Whats the difference btwn the P1SC and P1SC stage 2?

*i got the answer, p1sc 2 gets ya a little more boost. btwn the p1sc and d1sc.

Re: Official Procharger HP/TQ/mods thread:

I just ordered my P1SC from S/C4less. I also got 42# inj from them too. I bought the wideband a/f gauge and boost gauge with the dual a pillar pod. I just need to buy the cobra pumps and MAFia. Now I know I have the RAI and it wont work with the s/c, will the Procharger come with something to replace it or do I need to get the anderson power pipe? And what are the extra wires I need to run the cobra pump and where do I find em?

Re: Official Procharger HP/TQ/mods thread:

The Procharger system will come with an inlet pipe, though it is nothing fancy. You can go with a power pipe, but I pushed 458 through the Procharger pipe which was plenty for me.

LOL Well my name was changed to this one as I use this name on nearly every other board I frequent. I requested the name change since I have become s/c after joining in here.

Now as far as the sale..... I have still been looking at it, but I cannot pull the trigger on putting it up for sale. I either sell it, or sink some $$$$ into it. I would like to just forge the motor, but as you are well aware, this stuff is not cheap!

BTW, the hottie has since posed in Playboys "Fresh faces"...:ORANGE:
